Cattman 3" Catback Exhaust - Order Here!
When you refer to the main support brace, are you referring to the very thick stamped metal, multi-bolt plate farther to the front, or the thin sheet metal crosspiece that is farther back?
If the former, 1) it should never need to be removed for this installation, 2) there should no conflict with exhaust parts, but just in case 3) you can rotate it 180 degrees and re-attach (when you do it, you'll see how this could help). Remember, this is a key structural component of the chassis. The car is NOT meant to be driven without it.
If its the latter, this is normal because there isn't enough room for a 3" exhaust AND the crosspiece. No big deal because the only apparent function of that stupid thin crosspiece is to keep the stock catback from falling off when it finally rusts through, it has no structural role. Since you've now got a s/s exhaust, then rusting off is no longer a possibility and that piece can be removed entirely. If you want to leave it on the car, just put some spacers betwen that piece and the chassis (washers or nuts) to allow clearance room for the much thicker exhaust tubing.

Here's the front structural support brace w/about 1"- 1.5" clearance:

Here's the non structural exhaust catch brace:
For those of you that have Cattman 3" catbacks......I've found another alternative other than modding the Cat gaskets to fit....I'll be ordering a few of these to see if they fit our flanges which they should.....I'll contact SCE's technical department first to get the measurement if I can't find them online...then I'll order a few to test fit on My 3" Cattman. This is the product:

Very nice find..will be ordering with the others for the Headers also once they start production....
The mellow sound this system emits is so captivating and addictive....In the early morning start-up the initial roar sounds like my buddy's Hayabusa cracking his throttle...Stepping into the throttle mellows out the higher the rpm 's goes til it turns into more of a wush of air....Sometimes it feels like I've installed a national artifact on my ride.....Man I think Brian deserves a Noble Peace Prize!!!!!!

Took my Max out last night after installing some new HID foglight bulbs and went cruisin just to here my mellow howl...Thought this 370Z was gonna ask for some but he was cruisin as well....I should get my SCE copper gaskets (For My 3" Cattman) by Wednesday and I'll post some pics of them and how they fit, for those interested......
Jut got off the phone with Brian....he said they already started making the next batch of 3" catback exhausts....and he is going to send an email out to collect deposits sometime today!!! We're getting closer!!!!
Now if you were not in on this batch......maybe you should call Brian and ask.
Well...if you were in on this batch Brian already sent an email out saying he was going to collect deposits and production should be complete in about 4 weeks.....that would be end of Aug.....shipping should be another week....so you should get them at least mid Sept.....basically way before October...no need to pay anymore for a rush.
Now if you were not in on this batch......maybe you should call Brian and ask.

A weird thing happened today.....My Wifey went to have the 5.5th Gen Inspected for the TX state Safety sticker and she was told that my exhaust muffler was defective and too loud to pass Tx State Inspection.....Apparently the laws have changed since July 2010.....when I was previously inspected with the same identical 3" Cattman Catback and Cattman Headers!!!! I asked her to just go across the street (S Hwy 6) and try another Inspection Station.....and it was passed.....We have no CEL nor any other safety issues.....It's just a bunch of BS with Q Emissions and everytime I go there either they're out of stickers or the Test Load Dyno is inop.....The strange part is that my 5.5th Gen is one of the mellow ones.....!!!!!!!LOL!

Sorry I've been too busy to check in, life is nuts with some unrelated business activities right now, but I want everyone to know this:
THERE ARE 3-4* CATBACKS SETS AVAILABLE FROM THIS BATCH!
No waiting (well, just a few days) because these could be ready to go by the end of this week!
Better yet, since I'd like to be able to ship as many as possible when they come in, I will offer a $25 finders fee to anyone who sends us a buying customer for these remaining five units. Just have the person placing the order mention the "finders" name and email address, and I'll follow up to make the arrangements. If the "finder" is waiting for one of these sets, I'll deduct $25 from the price.
Additionally, I'll probably be receiving a small batch of Cattman y-pipes for 02/03 Maximas and 02-04 I35s with the catbacks (might come a few days later) and I'll offer another finders fee of $15/each to anyone who sends us a buying customer for these YG5A y-pipes.
Again, as always, my thanks to everyone for their support of Cattman Performance and our products.

*I say "3-4" because one customer who made a deposit may not be able to complete the purchase.

I believe cattman headers are around $800. From what I heard about OBX he cattmans may be more expensive but they are definitely worth the price for the quality you get and the fitment. I heard OBX you have to do mods to get it to fit correct.....
Give us a call to order, your timing is perfect - some have waited months, but these are coming in tomorrow. 800.759.9920, open 9-5 west coast time.
Brian

......they're worth about $1200 EZ!
