I'm just hesitant on the short ram just because the humid summer heat around here. Your max looks pretty clean, where are you running that intake?

So you want me to talk to sparks about tuning an a larger MAF housing?

I haven't had a stock sized MAF housing since 2007, and have been AFR tuned since then too. I'm 98.5% sure most of Sparks largest power increase came from his manifold coupled with the aforementioned items.

A little touchy there. I didn't post that for you .... I posted it in general.

Awesome! I'd bet I could scrounge some used shock bushings from one of the local brakes/muffler/shock installers trash. Did you put them on just the B-pipe or also on the front muffler mount?

Just referring to the 2 sites you placed regarding SRI's...no biggie! Just trying to open eyes and sinuses of those more lost than I.......In General that is! I don't think I would be giving you any advice on intakes at all!!!! You've been LRMAF for several years and maybe one of the first to do it......

Getting lighter rims makes me appreciate all my parts that much more especially this 3" Exhaust now drawing way more attention from cars trying to mess around especially on the back streets..

MMI's=motor mount inserts and ETL=engine torque link.

Since I still can't view the org on my PC, and 44 pages of filtering on my phone would suck... Let me ask you guys...
I got my Cattman 3" installed yesterday but it isn't sitting there perfectly. It bangs around over the rear beam. I know I had to remove the support closer to the rear, but is there anything else I need to remove to tuck it in place? Also what hanger bushings are you using? Mine sits fairly close to my AE rear already and I don't want it to burn into the valence.

You can check page 43 to see what Cmax03 did to stop his banging and as for the tips close to the muffler might have to go to a muffler shop to see what they can do since mine was like a 1/2 inch away then just kept raising up and burned the bumper a little.......Good Luck and if you do another method post it up here....

Also, use hose clamps to tighten the hangars. Mine used to do the same, just clamp it and it should tighten up and be fine.

Your problem is more than likely the rear 3" band clamp needs to be loosened and adjusted....if the 3" pipe contact is on the left side of the exhaust pipe make a line on the 2 pieces and than rotate the muffler a few degree counter-clockwise and retighten the rear muffler section....If the contact is on the right side of the pipe rotate the muffler clockwise a few degrees and retighten....there is adjustability built into it.....My bushing mod was to stop the hangar stud from swinging into the floor panel during hard high speed right hand turns.....

No telling, depending on condition, or if it was left in the box not installed you can sell it for what someone is willing to pay for it, and how much you would be willing to sell it for... Just my honest opinion, time will tell.

Your first comment sounded like you had a custom setup for half the price of Cattman...But I think you were mocking the "El Cheapos" that usually have something to say about Cattman's cost! Which I will say time and time again !!!!! He's undercharging us !!! That Catback and his headers are $1000 plus each, pieces of art with real street functuality..... Next time you hear a GM V6 with a performance exhaust system blaring you'll understand how sweet those Cattman products make your car sound.....

For those of you that have Cattman 3" catbacks......I've found another alternative other than modding the Cat gaskets to fit....I'll be ordering a few of these to see if they fit our flanges which they should.....I'll contact SCE's technical department first to get the measurement if I can't find them online...then I'll order a few to test fit on My 3" Cattman. This is the product:

I feel like an idiot still having issues with this. Much less banging, but I haven't been able to put the main support brace back on due to the exhaust sitting too low. Anyone?

When you refer to the main support brace, are you referring to the very thick stamped metal, multi-bolt plate farther to the front, or the thin sheet metal crosspiece that is farther back?

If the former, 1) it should never need to be removed for this installation, 2) there should no conflict with exhaust parts, but just in case 3) you can rotate it 180 degrees and re-attach (when you do it, you'll see how this could help). Remember, this is a key structural component of the chassis. The car is NOT meant to be driven without it.

If its the latter, this is normal because there isn't enough room for a 3" exhaust AND the crosspiece. No big deal because the only apparent function of that stupid thin crosspiece is to keep the stock catback from falling off when it finally rusts through, it has no structural role. Since you've now got a s/s exhaust, then rusting off is no longer a possibility and that piece can be removed entirely. If you want to leave it on the car, just put some spacers betwen that piece and the chassis (washers or nuts) to allow clearance room for the much thicker exhaust tubing.

Brian
