Any fitment issues on an 02 I35? Have enough for the Megan but after hearing about the drone, decided I'm gonna save up for the Cattman

Check the 5/5.5gen for sale section.

No different fitment issues for the I30/35. Same car as the Maxima. The I just had a nose job and butt lift.

I was stating that the Megan sad obnoxiously loud with headers. Cmax had told me that the cattman 2.5 was louder than his 3". My cattman 3" is so much quieter than the Megan. When I replaced my stock main cat with the fastcat, it made my 3" volume perfect.

That means he has .877 inches of exhaust diameter per liter of displacement, and giving our cars .857 inches of exhaust diameter per liter. In short he has less back pressure. Yet 2.5" duals is considered optimal for making power for camaro guys.
Ummm? 2 x 2.5" exhaust pipes is not equivalent to a 5" diameter pipe! Not even close

Update decibel meter stuffed in outgoing mail side of my lockable mailbox and no letter from the carrier either that she did that....We don't check that side/compartment just the incoming mail side....anyway I'll side if we can get reading at the following with the 6" vs 4" round resonators:
1. Cold start up
2. Warm idle
3. In-Cabin 20 mph
4. " " 40 mph
5. " " 60 mph
6. " " 65 mph
7. " " 70 mph
8. " " 75 mph
9. " " 80 mph
10. " " 85 mph

Could you provide any specs on the new resonator please? Length? Diameter? What are you using on the inside? Type of steel?

We're just getting started on the resonator design, so the can configuration isn't determined yet, but I can say we'll use the same high-grade motorcycle exhaust fibreglass and stainless steel that are used in our other exhaust parts.

I'm sure I've missed long sections of this thread, but I hadn't noticed any discussion about including a cutout. Although we're incorporating a larger-diameter resonator body, the system will still be unrestricted end-to-end and I don't see how a cut-out upstream from the resonator (where a cutout would typically be) would make that much more power.

I'll look forward to talking with you, leave a message if I'm too far from the phone to pick it up. There's no upper limit to the number of 3" catback orders.

We'll be glad to start taking resonator orders. The price has not yet been determined, but every buyer will know what it is before any money changes hands.

I think this is gonna be awesome...when Mywife leaves in the morning and I'm outside watching her pull off from the driveway in awe in how freakin quiet it is now that I've got more miles and more carbon build-up in the resonator interior....I measured the exhaust decibel level in an enclosed 2 car garage and it was lower than my 4th 2.5" outside in the driveway at idle....I'll be doing some test and posting the numbers in the next few days....This next Cattman catback should really say alot on how civil this 3" can really be.....

For the A/T guys with 3" Catbacks there's a little in the 2000-2500 rpm range regardless of MPH......but compared to most aftermarket high Performance catbacks Cattman kills them hands down....The funny thing is the drone isn't really audible outside the car, but in cabin it is..... In 30-60 Mph traffic when tipping into the throttle and 65-72 mph on the freeway there's a zone with some drone but tolerable....not annoying to me....that's where the enlarged resonator comes in to play, to reduce the drone volume or eliminate it all together!

How much larger is the Cattman muffler vs OEM? I have a Curtis hitch that I use with a bike carrier and it has a bar that goes above the muffler on its way to the frame rail. I'd hate to lose the hitch.

They're almost the same size.....Cattman muffler is 19" long x 9.5" wide x 4.5" height while the OEM is 19"L x 11" W x 4.5" H....the Oem muffler is slightly wider than the Cattman that roughly the difference and the flow pattern thru the muffler itself.....Cattman is a straight thru design, while the OEM is a reverse flow with a variable flow flap build inside....(Trick Muffler)

What are the possibilities of getting the full exhaust. I know this is a cat back only thread but I am interested in headers, y-pipe, and fast cat as well.

56-64 db (translation) approximate to a normal conversation (60db). 56 db on the lower end. Nice, very nice indeed.

Drew up a jig to be manufactured by my employer...today and hopefully it will be complete by this Wednesday or this weekend.....I'll make about 4 or 5 Hybrid Resonators, test fit them and move on....I may supply each one of them with a poly hangar as well.....estimate for jig just came in and they're talking $500 for company time to fabricate this jig.....Well F**K them! I'll order the metal from online and do all the fab work and let my welders weld the hell out of it......My employer trying to discourage my creativity....

Maaaaaaaan, I want the pre-orders to be filled so this can start production!!! I got my taxes ready to file on the 30th, got my deposit sitting in my account waiting for Brian to ****** it! These videos got me so hyped, all I think about while driving is how it'll be with a performance exhaust finally.

A couple questions though. With your Magnaflow resonator, is this pretty much how we can expect the sound to be with the new design from Cattman, even though they arent using a magnaflow resonator? Also, does the muffler come looking like how it is in your video, or does yours just need a polish? Not being a d1ck lol, just asking so I know what to expect

Good questions. Brian has not been here to discuss and provide those details.

Updates Brian?

Cmax: Got any of those 5 fabbed up yet?
