Everybody, just so you know... you gotta give the car a couple days to adjust to the catback before you can feel the full effect of the horsepower difference. So don't be disappointed if you're not thrown back into your seat the minute after you put it on!

Just got off the phone with Brian a little while ago.

The bad news is that this run of exhausts are already spoken for.

The good news is that their are already 3 backorders for the next batch which Brian hopes to put into production as soon as possible.

If you are on the fence, now is a good time to order so that second batch can go forward.

With as much momentum in this thread, I highly doubt that it will take long to get the second batch going in no time.

Good point.....2nd from this batch would make it the 3rd batch in total. It was just called that from conversation with Brian, but technically you are correct.

Man I'm counting down.....So this thing will take a few days to recalibrate the ECU? I know that once the soot is in place within the interior of the exhaust system it reduces the db's slightly....My Cattman 2.5" exhaust did this around 500 miles and the sound was butter smooth.......

Hey guys, I'm very interesting about this 3" CB group deal, I might be a little late but let see. Some of you know that Cattman has mad me a left muffler for a dual exhaust system on my 2k1. I'd like to have a 3" SS pipe that start where both headers merge, then get a 3" fast cat, a 3" resonator and then the 3" pipe that goes over the rear axle beam, the rest has to be custom made since I have a dual Cattman muffler in the back and those have 2.5 " piping, so I will have to be creative to merge the 3" SS pipe to dual 2.5 cattman muffler.

I'm not to sure how much this would run me, but I know for a fact that I need those section before the end of march.

P.S: Brian let me know if that is possible, otherwise if you can supply me with the 3" fast cat along with the 3" resonator and the section that goes over the rear axle. I can take car of the 3" SS strait pipe and flange. If you can supply all this in separate part faster with nothing weld that would be awesome. My friend is a professional welder and when I'm ready he's gone a come over with his 15 000$ Tig welder and weld everything in place.

You would probably be better off buying a 3" resonator, 3" cat, and some mixed 3" mandrel bends and piping (ebay) and work with your buddy to fab it all up. It would be much cheaper this way, and honestly not much of a headache if your friend is good at fabrication. If not, maybe Cattman can get you on the list for just a B-pipe.

You might wanna use a Magnaflow merge p/n 10778.... and fab it up with your buddy....As far as coming from the headers you can use a Y-collector (Flowmaster) p/n Y250300 which is a dual 2.25" inlet and a 3" outlet....GL

That's definitely not butter smooth....Too loud and raspy for my taste! Almost what I would call "RICEY!!!" A bit rich..I would say...Even though I know it's your 3" cutout...I have a slight headache just listening to the video....

Any car with an open cutout is going to have rasp, but it sounds far from ricey imo.

If you didn't catch it, I was being facetious with that post... it's obviously about as far from butter smooth as it gets... lol

^^^ all opinion I guess, but it is loud and on the bad side for me also... anyways if I was to do a cutout sound wouldn't be a concern when its open...

Of course it's loud, there is nothing muffling it. I couldn't care less how it sounds with open cutout, as in the situation where it's open power > aesthetics.

This is how it sounds on the street in normal cases

Yeah I was being sarcastic as too your buttersmooth reply...LOL...all in fun man....I realize that a cutout in pretty dang loud! But you did inspire me too more than likely install a 3" cutout on my 85 Shelby Charger once I pour into that project....It won't be as loud due to the turbo acting as a silencer but I'll probably install a resonator/glasspack b4 the exit and shoot it out the side just ahead of one the rear wheels! The second video is pretty nice...kinda sputtery (No cat...test pipe) more than likely, but pretty nice!!!

Yeah and it's a lot louder than the mic would let on... it adjusts input level so it doesn't cut out. You can hear me say at the end "that's enough of that" while reaching for my ringing ear, lol

Manual 3". I don't care for the electric ones as you have to clean them often to keep them from leaking. I'd may as well have to get under my car to open/close it and not worry about cleaning it.

That's what we figured out over the week-end and I already have bought some section.

Thanks a bunch.

Yes it's exciting, huh?

Just got my 2.25">3" Y-section, 3" flex section, and 3" bullet resonator from summit and will be taking my car up to RJ's in Raleigh for some mandrel bending/tig welding to get everything together... Going to go ahead and have my 3" Y-pipe done as well, with the bullet resonator before the cut out this time...

Nope. The 2.5" Y-pipe is fine, considering that is what everybody has. JayPee's Y-pipe is the regular cattman 2.5"

The 2.5" > 3" transition should theoretically increase scavenging and velocity in the headers.

I just placed a backorder for the 3" exhaust, Brian mentioned that this takes the total up to 4 for another production run, so if things keep up, there should be another run happening reasonably soon.

Absolutely - there are 4 guys on the waiting list and others are thinking about committing, so we could be very close to doing another batch right away.

All of the 3" sets shipped this afternoon! They'll arrive in 4-7 days depending on your distance from Arizona. I've got 4 more orders already, so we'll do another batch as soon as we hit 8 total.

I'm one of the 4 backorders, the wait is already killing me and I just placed my order last week. My exhaust system is falling apart, and I'm also waiting on a Cattman y-pipe to be shipped out with the 3" exhaust. Hopefully 4 more guys jump in soon to get the next order rolling.
