Well the good news is they will be back in stock in 4 weeks

The Bad news is that they are going to raise the friggin Price

I thought they were called Stone Mountain? I had a set on my '96 G20. Paid $130 shipped for them back in like 2003/04 or so...

Big hype up on several SR20 forums back then about how they stole HotShot designs and were not OBX, made with cheap labor, etc. and all other kinds of BS trash talk.

I don't know, but I thought they were super nice, fit well, and definately brought some power to the SR20.

EDIT: Ah yes, I just rememebered. Stone Mountain headers by SSAutoChrome...

http://www.ssautochrome.com/ ;-)

Stone mountain oysters????? Try them you might like them! Back on the headers, if folks like ^^^ tried OBX, At least give Stone Mouintain headers a shot, I think they might have been around longer than those butcher (req'd) OBX....LOL...There Quality may be about the same with no butcher (req'd) during installation....

Just so you know, ssautochrome is well known on the dsm forums for being horrible headers/ exhaust manifolds (turbos). I cannot say anything else for their quality on different applications but something to look into. They however make decent intercoolers incase any max's are interested

It depends, The v2s don't need any butchering. I'll admit for the v1 batch u do have too. I'm sure the v3 require none at all also. Give them a try if you want too tho.

There one a v3 now??

And pay no attention CMax03, he takes any opportunity to bash the OBX headers he can. Almost sounds a little bitter.

Just save another 600-700 dollars and find a good mandrel bender/fabrication shop to make you some semi-long tube headers. With some careful/tight fitment, you could probably get 28-32" primaries under our car with 2.5" collectors non-equal length 3" Y-pipe. The 350Z guys put down 10-15whp over mid-length headers like cattman/OBX for us going to long tubes, and get tons of topend under the curve.

Run that into a cutout with quiet/cheap 2.5" or a 3" and you probably have 280-285whp potential with a tune with your cutout open or just with a 3" to bumper.

You'd have to bank on the shop you choose being good, but not too expensive. That's not a normal combination unless you have a hookup.

I was talking about that yesterday as a matter of fact!

I see that you can buy the manifold plate separate on some sites, But it would prob be like 1000 up for a custom job, I wish I had the talent to do weld.

That is one creative Idea Mang.

No I'm not a basher nor Hater....I've installed several different brand headers and OBX is one of them I've installed....So don't get me wrong...I encourage people to try any brand that's out there and will work for their budget, but sometimes you've gotta draw a line on whether or not it's really worth it....My statements toward OBX have always been true and if you needed to modifiy this and that to make them fit without issues....then so be the truth on the V1, but I'm sure the one's I recently installed were V2's!!!!...Anyway to each there own may the best header see 10 yrs+ service...while most of yall won't have your rides in the next 2-3 yrs to really find out what you really have....

Hotshots have better top end than Cattmans. The manifold runners are a bit longer. I just sold my set of Hotshots which still haunts me.

600-700 for 10-15 whp... that will buy you a snail and wastegate.. I have the OBX ebay shorty headers, i dont think its even a true 2.5 inch collector, but for the price, cant be beat, ill sacrifice 5 horses over additional 300 DOLLARS
