And this thread will keep you busy for a while:

And this one, if you're into shiny nuts & bolts:

I don't understand the plan with that engine bay. It like you wrapped the engine cover in CF vinyl, and everything else in dirt & rust.
The OP's "tuck" turned into an unfortunate fail because of moisture and corrosion. Real shame, too. It's a fascinating idea.

It's been done on a couple 4th gens. Don't ask me who, I can't remember that was over 5 years ago.
Here's my .02 on this topic:
If done properly it's something to consider, mainly for a show car. Doing it properly however, consists of more time/patience than you even want to know about. It's different when you do it during a full build (engine, etc) then you're into it anyways so it's not A lot more work. Doing a proper tuck on a stock V6 FWD is not a fun job any way you cut it. Not to mention, the steel under the wiring doesn't look all that pretty, it's not smooth, it's jagged, it's a mess. To make it look 'clean' like you'd want, you have to do steel/body work plus paint. Otherwise you're just moving wiring to expose uglier looking components, leaving the engine bay looking 'bare'.
I think it's a foolish Idea for a DD, you're just going to cause issues down the road tampering with that wiring, our cars have enough electrical issues as it is, I for one am not going to go out of my way to drastically decrease the reliability of it further.
Again, just my .02 for anyone considering taking this on.
