Another ? on CAI Vs SRI

I have read all the posts on this forum i can find as well as other Nissan forums and other makes. I installed my SRI over the winter like i always do and yesterday reinstalled my CAI as the weather is getting better and no more snow to come. My question is the same as everyone has asked.. DO CAI lose or gain power vs the SRI. This is my SRI. The pic is older so right now the battery is repositioned to allow for the CAI

I dont have a pic of my current CAI but this is what i have-- TB-2.75ID midpipe-maf-2.75ID to BBK filter that is located in fenderwell of DR side. One question on the side is i read ppl have a 3"id CAI but the MAF is 2.75ID so would staying with 2.75 (as i have)thru-out be different than a 3"ID.
The weather is around 40 degrees right now and it does "seem" not as much low end. Almost feels like the ebrake is on. Just so everyone knows everything i read states " CAI gain mid and top end power and SRI gain Low end" but the problem is i read the same thing in opposite "CAI gain low end and SRI gain top end".
Anyone have any real numbers or anything to set this straight..

theoretically the CAI gives more horsepower. But IMHO when it starts hitting 35*C or 95* I doubt there is much gain over the SRI.

Me too. SR kills low end, especially from heat soak when it's warm.

I need an ECU flash like I need a million dollars, but the CAI was worse than it should've been down low with warm (not even hot) temps. I put on Aaron's spacers and problem solved. The throttle body and entire intake pipe isn't hot anymore. With the pipe length and just high heat of the throttle body and IM itself, I think it was negating any perf improvement from CAI.
I fully endorse the spacers I also have SSIM, so I'm sure it's even easier for me to notice low end loss.

OP: I'd figure the SRI and CAI would feel the same with cold temps. So not sure about your current situation.
I think this is probably pretty close to what you have.

Child Of Korn, yea that is roughly what mine lookd like. We are having crazy rain here tonight and going to work it felt better than yesterday. NOw it feels like it can move. I think im gonna clean the maf sensor and unhook the battery to clear the ecu. MAybe that will give the car a somewhat fresh start
