Summer project
I was just looking around the computer for bodykits and I came across this thread. Seems very interesting and definately worth a try! When it starts to get nice out i plan to try it out, and I will let everyone know how it goes.

Good luck with that! Get all the info from that company as well as their previous company name,...cause when it's time for you to get some replacement parts for that "aero kit" they'll be out of business by then and someone else will have the ownership rights that the company!
It's cool looking, and interesting.
An issue I see is durability. If professionally made fiberglass body kits are fragile (which they are), then I'd be doubly worried about a homebrew one.
Rather than cardboard, why not get a big chunk of that foam they use for like pontoons and insulation and stuff - comes in big blocks, it's very fine grained (moreso than styrofoam), and it should be able to be carved and then sanded.
Bolt some onto your car, then cut and sand it until you get a good shape, then see if you can use it as a mold to make polyurethane casts. Do a group buy on them, and make some money. See how popular the GAB is? There would definitely be demand for a "poor man's lip kit", as long as quality isn't TOO shoddy.
