Changed motor mount = no more vibration
A while back i posted about heavy vibration during 1-2 and 2-3 shift at around 2000 rpm to 3500 rpm. after seeing several members were having the same issue, i purchased a rear motor motor off ebay and removed the old mount. the vibration i was experience is now GONE....what a difference changing the motor mount made. the old mount was seriously damamged as you can see from the pics below. low gear shifting is now way smoother. i did notice however, that the rubber in the front mount is starting to crack. would i be able to change the front mount without having to remove the entire cross member and rear mount again?

did you replace with a stock or poly energy suspension mounts? also how the HECK did you get a wrench up between the trans and the mount to remove the bolt that goes through the engine block on the rear mount????

You can get the rear off eBay for $36 shipped...
...this is the one I purchased for my '02 SE. It's the same for all Maxima's from 1995-2003.

we won't have to remove the crossmember, but we might have to support the engine with something.. i dont know though.. do we need to support it if we're changing only the front mount??

Impressive, If the ES mounts didnt drop the transaxle assembly by half an inch i'd get it. I ride too low as it is so I need the motor to sit as high as possible, lol

the mount that nismopc posted is the exact one that I bought. quality is pretty good compared to my old mount lol. the job was a pain in the as*... the hardest part was getting the rear mount bolt to line back up during reassembly. I had a friend help me hold the cross member while I tried to realign the bolt. other than that it's an easy job. takes some patience to get to the rear bolt due to limited space. I used an air tool which also helped. later I will post pics of the tools I used if that helps
