Exhaust Question about Catback

I currently have headers+ypipe+test pipe and getting the N1 Tsuedo catback w/5.5 gen muffer and i wanted to know will it still be restricted with the 5.5 gen muffler or does it basically all depends on the B-pipe? Just wanna know what users felt with the setup and will I even feel more power or just sound?

IMHO that would still be a bit of a bottleneck at the end. It's not only 2.25, but it's a chambered design as well. I have that same catback, and plan to just weld in one, if not two large resonators when I get headers. If it's the ricey muffler you hate, look for a decent 2.5 muffler. just my .02

Unless I measured incorrectly, when I installed my eBay cat-back, I measured the OEM exhaust I.D. and it was less than 2". Not even close to 2.25"...

...talking about a bottleneck.

So even with the eBay 2.25" mandrel cat-back, I am very pleased with the upgrade...

Don't really know still got the stock exhaust on but dont want something really loud like a fart can or major drone sound and that leads me with either a 3in. Cattman Catback or a Axle HKS Exhaust.

i say the best thing to do is weld in an extra resonator and get a quality muffler (Cattman, Apexi, Greddy, etc). because the stock muffler is restrictive, it almost defeats the purpose of going aftermarket with everything else.

+1. The Vibrant 1148 muffler looks pretty good, and is flat black for that stealth (or mature) look.
Here's the cheapest I've found it: Vibrant 1148 $119.99

haha I told you I wasn't lying when I said that stock muffler wasn't going to reach your goals.

And you thought I was just trying to sell you my catback...

Just got a 6" catback. Since the 3" is nasty, I'd get the 6.....

Didn't you pick up rus's cattman 2.5"?
