NWP block plate + GAB sound/video clip

Just did a quick roll on from 45-85.

Exhaust is stock except for a test pipe, so pretty much all the sound is intake noise.

Got to pass emissions here and I see too many people having problems with O2 sims. We don't do the rollers here, they just plug into the OBD port to check for codes. Probably doing intake spacers next, getting close to plug changing time.

a33_ridah-actually, that is just the test pipe that replaces the main cat. The computer only monitors the precats on a 5.5 gen so removing the main cat doesn't throw an SES light.

Definitely a big improvement with the new (well, new to me, actually lower mileage used) precats, test pipe and NWP block plate. If you see the other videos I posted about a year ago, I'm going from 45-85 around 3 seconds quicker! Bad precats and a clogged main cat kill power.

running headers for 5+ yrs with o2 sims and no issues. NY does the same type of emissions, plug in obd and check for codes. o2 sim issues are few and far between from what i seen

Sounds awesome and it's pretty quick too! Can you pass a sniffer test with a test pipe in place of the main cat?

I believe that's a faulty o2 sim. I remember a while back with my Hotshots on, I still had a code with my o2sim, but I managed to shoot an email to o2simulator and they spotted me a new one (less shipping). I would replace that and go from there.

I've still got the precats and since Nissan isn't required to monitor the main cat, seems to me the EPA considers the precats enough to keep the emissions low.

I'll need to make another video, I was wondering why it seems so dark and realized the last time I wiped down my dash I dimmed the instrument panels lights.

Scott I'm here in Texas too with you...haven't had any issues in 3yrs with the Cattman header/O2 sim install on the 2003 Maxima (OBD2 only), Nor have I had any issues with my 86.5 D21 pick up running cam/headers/exhaust running on those emission dyno rollers and passing with flying colors...don't worry it's pretty trouble free....I installed my O2 sim inside a padded pocket which was also thermo insulated for extra life.

Good to hear. However, with 173,500 miles on the car now, getting headers would mean I'd need to be committed to keeping the car another 3-4 years to make it worth it...and be willing to replace the engine and transmission if needed. However, since my oil consumption (a quart every 1500-1800 miles) and cold weather soft 2-3 shift haven't worsened in the 60,000 miles I've put on the car, I'm guessing the drivetrain isn't about to go out tomorrow either.
