6 Cd changer

My 6 cd changer in my 2002 maxima Gle is all messed up! It keeps skipping parts of songs and other times it works just fine. Its no the CD, i have made multiple copies and copies from friends when i found this out. Please help all suggestions welcome.

try cleaning the lens with a special cleaning disc?

What lens? Its not the disk if thats what ur thinking.

no.. the lens that reads the disc which is inside of the head unit.

I does seem to be a common problem but the link some guy put up to fix it is broken!

You need to clean the lens and adjust the power to the laser with a tiny screw driver. There is a how-to hidden somewhere in the forum. I had the same problem a few months ago.
