What is the best intake?
so no one sees any validity or comparison regarding the velocity stack. previous to this article i thought it was here-say and marketing ploys. But velocity stacks have been around in the muscle car world forever and as the article shows, The proof really does exist that 1) the SRI is not the top performer (in all cases) and 2) The velocity stack in addition to the CAI the best mod for intakes.
). Test it out and see if you like it. The GAB is basically a stepping stone. The minimal gains you get from an actual intake I would say are halved to the GAB(no proof just throwing it out there). If you have a GAB and are needing more get an intake. If you do a GAB and it's just not for you go stock. or just keep it!
I meant that usually because when someone does the GAB they don't replace most of the intake setup leaving the tubes and everything stock. So the gains felt, which I agree there are some, are in between stock and a WAI.
Also, maybe you having the 3.5 and I had the 3.0 had something to do with different gain amounts.

i will give you a pass cause ur only at 10 posts, but searching is still best new youngster, you buy injen moreso for the name as its not a "true" cold air because its behind the radiator (hot air) just make your own or read this thread and see what is out...

Go with Injen! you cant go wrong for $400 you get like 50hp to the wheels plus they give you a sticker that adds at least another 5! Not to mention it is the best intake if you want to bang out some NOS!
Ah, that's what I always thought. I just needed some confirmation with all this talk about velocity stacks.
Puppetmaster pops in every now and then for some cleanup. I think he does a great job when he's around. But overall, I agree the 5th gen forum could benefit from more management. Somebody constant and even-handed... I've been thinking 2slow would be a good candidate.

You know me, of course I do. It's in my dyno thread, or one of my dyno threads. Too early for me to be digging them up, since it be a
The GAB was dyno'd on the same day, the JWT was dynoed about 3 months later using th same CF.
I dyno'd the effects of the midpipe too a while back ..

No tuning, the only difference was the day, maybe that played into it.

even looking at the dyno sheet, it still doesn't make any sense. in all my years playing with machines, ive never seen an intake net you 23whp. i mean, not even V8's see those gains with an just an intake.
i guess there is a first for everything.
