It's easy guys! The intake gained 23hp due to the headers and the timing which were in the mix....sometimes the combo really works well together...! If it was the intake alone with stock exhaust manifolds, stock timing believe me....He might have gained 10 whp....but it's the combination my boys!

Perhaps these conversations aren't for veterans. They're for the benefit and enjoyment of a new crowd of Org members coming up through the ranks.

The only problem, per se, are veterans who don't cut people the slack to have the same collaborative experiences that occurred the first few times around.

There was a time when I was like Sooner, but after a little time away, I get to step back and take a better look without my 'veteran' blinders on and see it a little differently. Or maybe I just like stirring the fire.

I actually dyno'd again, after the 233, with the difference being heavier wheels, a TS ECU, a Cattman B pipe, BUT I went back to a GAB(no JWT), and saw only 212whp.

Good for you, NmexMAX. Experience is worthless without the patience to share it.

Glad you're here again.

Couple that with the thought that all the ‘old’ facts come back to me. i.e. keeping the stock resonator gives the smoothest curve. Is that good/bad? As far as looking great on a graph, we need to see what yields most are under the curve.

^^^ Little things like that^^

I have a dyno day coming up in the next 6 weeks or so, and I just want to plan accordingly.

Not to mention that the accepted answer sometimes changes.

For example, as I have said before, it was once widely accepted that catbacks were for sound only and tuning an NA vehicle was not worth it. Both have obviously been proven wrong. Look how long it took to realize a 3" catback is the way to go. If you would have said that a few years ago, you would have been flamed.

I don't see why the " veterans" can't just skip the posts they don't like. If you've seen it a million times, click the back button and click on the next thread. Whining about it a million times isn't helping anything either.

you know what would keep this place cleaned up? moderators

back before the forum was sold and became about money...there was a rule about starting intake threads and other common topics without searching...this place ran way smoother...and now I'm seeing that we cant self govern this place and keep it cleaned up...veterans try and newbies get butt sore....they ask a question like they are the first person to have the question about a 10 year old car...then everyone gives in and spoonfeeds them...except they are all new as well and give wrong info...good thing I dont own my maxima anymore and rely on this place for valuable information...and i see the knowledge I gained isnt needed here anymore...so I'll be moving along

I bet if forums had a smarter search tool that would show proper results rather than stupid threads that bash someone for asking the same questions, "noob" threads would happen less frequently.

Well perhaps if you actually passed on that information, instead of complaining about spoonfeeding the noobs then your knowledge might actually be appreciated. The fact that you feel you have so much knowledge you are unwilling to share makes most of us not appreciate your presence in here. If you have nothing positive to say, just move along to the next thread. And by the way, the search engine is a piece of crap.
What is so wrong about spoonfeeding the noobs? I'll bet if I could search to way back when you had 5 posts, people had to spoonfeed you too.
Why does the place need to be cleaned up? Is the bandwidth being used coming out of your pocket? Stop being so offended about what goes on in here. It isn't your forum, it's a public forum so stop taking things so personally.

If it's so boring to you, then why read it?

If you've nothing constructive to add, then why post?

agree^

not knocking anyone but i think they should do something about negativity in threads because if someone ask a stupid question its beacuse they dont know but we already do so that doesnt mean bash them for it''' if its usless to you then view and press back like most of us do when we dont want to reply i mean whats the point of the club if u cant ask a question stupid or not without fear on bad response

Yeah you're not going to get anywhere with soonerfan that way. This isn't the first time he's taken personal offense to a thread he could have just skipped and it certainly won't be the last. His overflowing knowledge is already spelled out in other threads and stickies, so there is no need for anything but wannabe moderator blah.

Oh and for the OP, INJEN INTAKE IS BEST DUHHHHH

My crappy AEM dry flow + velocity stack intakes suck, though! My Injen not only sounded cooler, but was a far superior design. Injen is superior in every way because it gets the warm air that the engine needs right from a good source of heat and for an amazing price at that.

Seems like his point is more that you could just ignore it if it bothers you instead of being a ****, but he should know by now that you can't resist and it's pointless to argue with you over it.

How about you E-mom me about my clear sidemarkers some more, for old time's sake. It always makes me hot to know how much you care about my safety.

Sooner's not a true enthusiast like myself.

He's never been to the dyno, never really done much to his ride. I respect him as such, but really ... he's never dug into the VQ, so I cannot respect him WRT to VQ tuning (software/hardware, etc.)

sorry sooner.

You didn't get the memo because you don't even have a Maxima anymore.

This. There are newcomers to the .Org every day, and the thing is people who know a lot more about VQs than Sooner don't get upset about "searching". If a guy walks into a store and asks what's the best TV to buy or asks about a certain technology, are you gonna tell him to research it?

Puppetmaster isn't complaining. And since the servers changed a lot of links were lost and all the pictures from threads of years ago are broken.

Was I not speaking intakes here?

Am I not the dip shat that has dyono'ed the most intakes? And is Sparks not the kat that has ran the most intakes in the 1320?

If any DP (short and not as to obviously point to Dip Sh_it) knows we're talking about, it's he & I.
