Quick cam questions
I searched and found out that the HR cams are a bit milder than the rev-up cams which is optimal bc my car is a DD. I have the cattman 3" on the way, cattman y pipe waiting to be put in and a ssim + ported upper and ported lower IM, nwp bop and spacers in near future. Would the HR cams be worth the work involved regarding gains? Also would I lose any driveability for daily use?
I just didn't realize how inexpensive these can be had when compared to any other options. Btw, I have the VQ35DE specs with the VQ35HR specs below but, I don't how the differences really translate...

Yeah you are right bc a performance cam w/o headers is kinda pi$$ing into the wind. But that's also why I was looking at the HR's since they aren't terribly aggressive but still an upgrade and would work better than stock with the IM setup(Id think anyway) Also, I know it's not an easy job but I'll be replacing the valve cover gasket and plugs while I am in there , so I just figured why not? But I don't wanna do it if only minimal gains are to be had.

I know a cam requires more than pulling the valve covers, lol. I was just saying if have the IM's off already and the valve covers off, I am there, so why not go farther. Plus I like to do everything at once, I wouldnt want to swap my IM's and then take it all apart again to swap the cams.

HR cams have CVTC on both I & E cams, so that's obviously another factor in the overall equation. Also, don;t let fully open lift and full durations make the decision for you. You want the spec that has the most area under the curve, i.e. is open for the most amount of time at the highest duration.
IM/VC's are very easy to remove, reinstall. Cams, are a little different, meaning doing the VC's/IM now, and then again later after you're 105% sure what cams you want, wont be that big of deal.
