Was your 162 on the dyno b4? I don't think you're able to do that on a track or highway due to the drag factor!!!!! What kinda of ecu upgrades are you running? Hey will our car's ECU accept the UPREV upgrades?

6spd 148mph... 4at 135mph... I would like to use that software dandy is using to see how fast my ish can ever go with my mods

It was on a brand new freshly paved highway at 4 in the morning. As I said before, that's as fast as the car would go with all my mods, tuned, with the weight of the car and the drag of the car. It topped out with no fuel cut at just over 260 KPH. I doubt a stock car could hit that speed unless it dropped a lot of weight.

Mods are in my sig

Haha I read the title of this thread, and came in expecting to see problems in the high RPM range! Not "top end" of the speedometer. Haha what the H are you doing going 130mph in an 8 year old family sedan anyway??! I'm all for the 1/4 mile racing, etc, but going 130+ mph in a car like this is stupid! I love my maxima, love modding it, and love driving aggressively, but come on! You wanna go 130+, get a car that's safe going that fast. I know we love our Max's, but at some point reality needs to set in

you will need to manually shift to go past stock rev limit in any gear

there are *some* maxs on this site that are plenty safe going that fast. and much faster, going straight of course. i dont think anybody is going 130+ around any sort of corners, although I know of several more that could take some corners at 130+ safely

are you sure u were in 3rd??? i think you were in 4th bud. not even my previous ride (infiniti M45) can hit 130 in 3rd. 3rd would take me barely to 101mph.

Yes it will. Your M was probably at least a 5AT, these horrible 4AT's have ridiculously long gearing. With the extended rev limit I think i saw 137 at the end of third.

Anyone questioning this can go back to the first page and look at my dyno graphs, they are plotted against SPEED, not RPM, that's why I posted them,

Another fun one ... I would probably pull tremendously on the car in comparison on a track from 100-130. This is with TS 7100 rev limit.

No, less. Closer spaced gears. I'm still upset with Nissan not giving the 5AT to the 5.5 gen.

^^^ That would have been awsome. The gearing in nissan's 5AT does a great job at blending gear ratios that are good for performance, and still maintain a good cruising speed when on the highway.

I cant say much for the strength and weight of them though...

It fairly close to the 5MT, especially the top of 3rd. but with a taller OD gear for MPG's. IIRC, that may from the FD which is like 2.44

Strength has always been questionable .. But I never thought of the weight.

lol. And on that note, I prefer my 5MT. I actually had to re-adjust my coilovers because the driver side raised up a little after getting rid of the 4AT. And if something breaks, I can just take the 5MT apart and swap in what ever broke from one of the many broken 5MTs we've got laying around here for parts.

By the way, wasn't there some talk a while back about a taller final drive/5th gear for the 5MT? If i'm not mistaken, it was from another nissan vehicle.

Yeah, in fact Nealoc187, I think it was him, has a thread sticky'd in the boost forum about a company that makes them bad boys. And I believe JClaw found a fittable FD from an older gen Altima with the same effects.

Yeah, I imagine it would have popped up a bit. Also, I think I like the 5MT gears better overall.

Also, in the comparison of my car and another car on that dyno, up this page, it was actually a 6th gen 5AT.
