The car is an '01, AT, 133K.

I've developed a squeak in the front left wheel but it only happens going forward. Just pulled the tire and caliper and rotated the wheel by hand.
The sound appears to be coming from where the CV mates to the
transaxle. It's not the bearing, there's no play in it, and the sound does not come from there. I'm assuming it's the cv axle but am wondering why it only happens going forward. Any ideas?
