Cost to cut/program a 2000 gle key?

Hi, I recently bought a used 2000, and it only came with one key. No remote or anything.

I need a keyless entry remote and a spare key so I bought this two in one key off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...ht_5563wt_1165

I know how to program the keyless entry but need the key cut and the chip programmed with my car.
My question is how much would my local nissan dealer charge to cut the key i bought and program the chip in side it? Will it cost more money because its a fancy switchblade key?

I'm in your same boat, but I got a remote with a crappy unlock button. But when I locked my keys in my car I had went to the local dealership and was quoted ~100 bucks to cut & program a new key. I opted for the 5 dollar dummy key that unlocks my doors.

The remote needs to have and FCC id of NHVWBU43 to work with your 2000. I bought 2 keys and found a local locksmith that cut & programmed the pair for $40. The dealer will charge you a lot more, there is no standard charge.

Was that strictly for the key or did that include opening the car to get the other key out.

home depot did mine for $70 and walmart does it for $50 but i wouldnt go to walmart. The $70 included the cost of the key, cut and program.
