emblems

I am trying to make a poll here, What do you think of people putting different emblems on there cars (example) A GTR emblem on a 2000 nissan maxima SE. Do you think it's stupid or alright to do.

you'll get both sides on this board. Just do what you want.

I personally don't like to badge a car incorrectly. I prefer to debadge and have a sleeper. I also do not like stickers and such on my car either. Clean and Classy.

Why make your car look like something that it isn't?

As long as you like the car with badges, It doesn't matter what other people think. It's your car, you can do what ever you want. Don't let other people's opinion Affent your own. You car, Your taste, YOUR MONEY

Yeah, that's kind of like the definition of rice. Personally, I'm not a fan of stickers or emblems of any sort, but I think they are only warranted if it accurately represents something about your car. A Greddy sticker when you have a Greddy EVO, an AE emblem if you actually have an AE, etc. Otherwise, when you lose...they will just laugh louder and harder.

IMHO... It's not for me. But, everyone is different, so do your own thing. Like someone else said, it's your car and your money.

Heck, if someone wanted to put bull horns on the front of their car, who am I to stop them.

i agree with only having emblems and/or stickers that represent your car. it's silly to put on a gtr emblem if your car is a gxe or something...

I don't know about putting too many badges on the car but the Sentra SE-R is attractive after I modify my Max. Custom Maxima has the BMW Z-3 fenders that I think would look good with the Nissan emblem behind the vents. The shaved look is good too!

i don't like fake badges, because my dad has an M3, and people that have a 318 and an M3 badge on the back ****es me off . But I would have to say stickers like NOS, Stillen, etc are okay, provided they are in your car. Also, It wouldn't be good to have ur @$$ kicked by someone thinking your car makes 400hp+ because of your badges.

badge-r

I personally prefer to minimze anything stuck on my car. However, I found the NISMO badging (spells out Nismo in nice script with NISSAN Motorsports International just underneath) very classy. And at just about 3" x 1 1/2" and in chrome w/ black background, I bought them and put them just above the rub strip on the front driver and passenger door. It looks as if it was made to go there, and in my opinion, it is in keeping with the style of the car.

Do what you want to, but I would have to agree, do not advertise something you don't have.

my 2c.

Would you put a McDonald logo on a Nike shirt?

I even took the dealer's sticker out! Dealers should pay us if they want us to promote their businesses.... just like Nascar's drivers!

That's the first thing to go, for sure! I'm glad they don't use those cheezy metallic ones like they did in the 70's.

Actually, on ebay, but the source is tradesonic.com. This link should take you right there:

http://www.initialr.com/tradesonic/emblems.asp

There are all kinds. Again, I got the one that is in nice script, not the round one, although I liked it too. Let me know what you think. srm
