Wow 150$ is a great price. Here in Illinois they all want at least 250 with the highest being 350. I really dont want to pay that, so I dont know what to do.

Yeah, around here it's expensive. Umbra tinting in Schaumburg wanted $230 and they wouldn't do 20% for obvious reasons. I'm heading down there this weekend to the tinting place if you wanna come get yours done

And thanks i will get on that trim bright asap!

Either of yuse guys know how the Trimbrite stands-up to COLD (as in subzero) weather???

I've been looking for this stuff for a few years for my rear wheel-well mouldings: they're all chipped-up.

Sooner: where'd you actually PURCHASE this stuff from? What store?

thanks,
gr

Posts #26, 30, and 32 tell you where to order this from. It holds well (to our trims) but the surface has to be clean and I wouldn't put it on any other body moldings.

I purchased a roll and cut it in half and it still gave me room to clean up the trim with a razor. Remember, the tape tends to shrink a bit in the summer so trim appropriately.

You missed my point:
I wanted to know where HE bought it.
Omigli is an online reseller like Amazon, so, what I meant was WHICH vendor did it ACTUALLY sell from...
Doesn't really matter tho.
And I don't have Advance Auto OR Peppyboyz near me.

I purchased a roll and cut it in half and it still gave me room to clean up the trim with a razor. Remember, the tape tends to shrink a bit in the summer so trim appropriately.
So, you're saying it'll work on the trim around the windows but not the BODY moulding??
Sounds like "shrinkage" IS a factor?!

I love my 20% sunroof tint here in Alabama, and I have 15% tint on all of the other windows.

So - is sunroof tinting and GLASS EXPLOSION an urban legend, or is there truth to it?!
My installer literally would NOT tint my moonroof glass claiming this.

Sure would like to have that thing darker.....

Uh - keep in mind that different manf's have different gradients of "darkness". Mine is rated at 20%, but it's MUCh darker than that, technically.

for some reason though my 20% tint doesn't look like 20%, doesn't seem dark enough.

what color is your interior? lighter interior makes the tint look less dark...and black interior makes it look darker.

Why is windshield sun visor strip considered "ghetto"? I see the visor strip on almost every single car every single day. It's functional in being that it helps keeps the sun out of the face. I had mine put on a few weeks ago and it made a huge difference.

You get what you pay for in tint. Around here you can get it done for $99, but it won't hold up and it will turn purple. Want the good stuff that will last, has no metal in it, and won't turn color, it's $200-$225.

definitely be careful, like he said you get what you pay for. If you are trying to save that much money the tints might not last as long.
