belt squeaks loud on startup

May I get some help please
Just changed new alternator and belt- belts were super squeaky/squealing on startup and for a little bit

had a friend retighten the tensioner bolt for the alternator

squeak went away for about 3-4 days then reappeared

did the belt stretch a little in those days?

is the tensioner bolt getting old?
is there better belts then autozone?

It is on cold startups and squeaks for a little bit and dissapears

After using the car for a bit when i restart it- the squeak isnt there?
ive searched some of the threads but didnt really find to much

1. check the tension again
2. apply belt dressing

most recommend nissan belts

I don't like belt dressing, just makes a mess. Tighten belts. I've tightened mine twice and going to do it again. It's a gator belt only 4 months old.

I had to replace the belt tensioner pulley on my 97 because it made noise.

Loose belt. Or else the idler bearing is toast which will give you a different squeel.

Idler will have constant whining. It it comes and goes, gotta be the belt. Belts are not created equal. You might need to replace it with a better one, assuming your tension is done right.

Finally figured it out- top mounting bracket isn't there-
it was left on the dead one that I returned-

kept retightening tensioner bolt but since that piece was missing the belt would get loose & eventually squeal

I get a loud squeel too when it's cold
Can't figure out what's wrong, just got the car not long ago

after doing the research and talking to some mechanics- they said either the belts are about to go or you need to tighten the tensioner bolts
