Trunk Sub Floor

Here's the really nice version:

Had a similar problem with my old Altima - except it was a couple of gallons of antifreeze and oil!
I just used the old one as a template and cut out a sheet of plywood to lay down - didn't worry about putting carpet on it. You should be able to pick up automotive carpet for about $20 for a good sized roll.
$25 for plywood, $20 for carpet and a little time. Of course, that only covers the spare tire, not the rest of the trunk.
As far as the mat replacement, haven't seen any custom fit that are cheaper than $50-60, and that was for vinyl. $100+ for carpet.
Have you tried hitting the mat with some cleaner and letting it air dry for a couple of days?

I'm currently using djfrest's trunk board b/c my OEM got wet and crunched like the OP's. OP, you can't go wrong w/ djfrest's setup, but as others mentioned you can indeed build one of your own. (Me personally, I a lot of work in my Talon w/ no will leftover to do what I want to the Max)
