No my question is did you ever backup the 13.7sec/1320 ft with that awesome setup (2.5")? Otherwords did you ever run 13.7 more the 1 time?

That's to kept the cheaper(lighter) 4 door sedan from running with the G35 sedan and 350Z....Marketing at it's best....Kinda like the Z28 Vs Corvette back in the early 90's....Keep the cheaper slower!

between the FWD VQ35 and the RWD VQ35, the only difference between them is the intake manifold if u have a 3" exhaust. and the RWD are consistently making more power then the FWDs. full bolt on 350Zs with tunes are making 280-290whp, there are quite a few that have cracked 300whp. The highest i have seen is the 278whp from a FWD VQ35 without a major build.

were talking about catbacks, not restrictive precatted headers, most of the restriction is no doubt in those precats, and the cat, no arguement there.

When I see someone dyno with a 2.5 catback, do nothing else and dyno with a 3 inch catback and gain 15-20 whp, ill order one the same night or following morning, lol i know the 3.5s on the maximas exhaust rob madd power, but just an additional .5 inch width on a na application, with no other changes, to yield 15-20 whp not just hp like i IMO, id have to see it to believe it and it would have to be more than a one time deal as dynos and conditions will vary

The RWDs have the better manifolds. i will do some testing to find out, get my car tuned on a SSIM then just switch over to a RWD manifold and have it tuned on that and see how much power i make from each one. If its more than 10whp difference we have found a winnAr.

7-10whp would be a believable gain, the other 1-3whp is just the conditions of that day.

4th gens see 5-7whp just going to 2.5" catbacks.

Fast, just not fast enough.... I remember a year and a half ago when I was like that with my DE-K... I loved that car soo much and my goal was 14.9 and I'm done, got a 14.5 in the 5.5 then I said 13.9 and I'm done, then I ogot 13.7... take a wild guess what my goal is now lol.... I understand babying your ride as any DCmax head will tell you how I was with my 2K... 1 year and I probebly added less than 15K on it... after my devilish ex crashed it I realise that as much as I loved that car (which I still do and is my favorite) I never really enjoyed it as much as my 5.5... I don't care if I lose 10 more motors, I did what I love and hopefully ill have footage of it to look back at when I get old...

I may have came off a little bit more arrogant than I exxpected, no hard feelings.... I have no motor work.... my 13.7 is with the mods in my mod list with the addition of a gutted stock cat....

Man I would of been dynoing ever month with mods if they had a dyno day for 60 bucks or 40 in Oklahoma, that would be nothing but soon will waste like 120 in Cali since nobody has hit me up for a dyno day in Cali somewhere!! To see where I stand before Headers!!!

No you didn't come off as arrogant, just not finally understanding my statements: motorwork as in fixing broken sh!+, not modding....I recall you stating that after the shop put your motor back in there were some problems.....you weren't getting full power....
As for me being a All ShoW, well that's opposite of me...My 5.5 is clean but not immaculate....I don't brag, nor show anyone what's under the hood except my two pals ( one's from DCMAX as well) when we're working on stuff, but as far as hanging out in parking lots with my hood up...HELL NO!!!!! That's an invite for a missing ride, then finding a stripped ride, that happens to be yours in carcass form! I've got a fast ride no doubt...I just haven't push it to it's limit or even close to it....my quickest 1/4 mi is only 14.5 sec with my 3" Catback + Hybrid SRI and a granny like launch ( on purpose) not hard at all just a normal, leaving the stoplight headed to work! My previous time was a ***** to the wall launch when I was running that sorry *** Injen Intake/ w 2.5" Cattman + Headers....I musta ran 14.6 (5)times that night....that's when I knew it was the intake slowing me down....I ran those same times with the Cattman bpipe + stock Rear Muffler the nite B4....So once I get the other mods on (NWP, New Coilpacks and plugs and 6th Gen VC's) I'll dyno my 5.5 A/T w/3" Cattman etc.....

j00 brought up something that needed to be, and that was CF. And we all know it's hard to throw a CF @ 1/4 times. Yes we have DA, but it's really not the same as say a qualified SAE/STD. etc. correction factor.

Thanks for doing that ... saved me some time.

Pick one:
3"vs cut-out
Crush bent vs mandrel bent
2.5" vs 3"
Gains from a 3"
