Horrible Handling!!

Everytime I get on highway ramp or take a sharp turn at about 25mph or higher the tires start to squeel. The tires have about 70 percent tread and they are Hankook, they cant be the tires? What else could it be? Its an 02 SE auto with 133k

i assume stock suspension

any details on the actually handling? (tires making noise really says nothing about the handling)

The KYB struts are fairly new and its like if you go in a car at like 80 on a ramp exit the tires begin to skid thats kinda how it is but at veryyy low speeds.

Noisy tires? Tire pressure? Are you sure your struts are good? Saying you have KYB struts tells us you've had suspension components replaced. Are you lowered?

No its not noisy tires its squeeling tires on corners. The struts are fairly new, a new lower control arm with ball join. The car is stock height. The only option I can think is an alignment but the tires wear off evenly.

when was the last time you had an alignment?

when i 1st bought my car it felt like i was driving on ice...then i replaced all front suspension and steering parts that were worn and did an alignment and now it feels like its on rails when i turn by comparison...

if your suspension setup is in good condition you may just need an alignment

Yes I even had a mechanic check the whole suspension but I forgot to mention this problem.

I think it's just the pavement you're on and nothing wrong with the car.

dont know if that would be it....he did say it feels like it skids at slow speeds....

an out of alignment will cause that...the feeling that the front is skidding..almost like driving on ice

When I had new inner tie rods put on my Z, the car was knocked out of alignment (obviously) and had excessive toe-in on one side. The end result was squealing from the passenger's side tire at speeds as low as 15-20 MPH when I turned sharp. And skidding, like you mentioned.

In fact, my Maxima does it right now since I've put my coilovers on, and have yet to get it aligned.

Have you had an alignment done since you put the KYBs on? It's very possible that you knocked something out.

or he just needs an alignment

usually an out of alignment is caused gradually and not instantaneously unless a large curb or pothole is hit

A car going out of alignment will happen instantly any time you put new suspension parts in because it changes the geometry of your suspension. Even if you swap out OEM for OEM. That's why it's suggested that you get an alignment any time you put any new suspension parts on a car.
