What RPM is too high to set cruise control at or drive at for that matter
Reason I ask is this is now the second transmission I have had from Nissan that has blown and wont go into over drive. So at 60 mph I hit 3,000 RPM. We are going on a trip this weekend where the speed limit is 70 mph and that puts me at about 3,600 RPMs locked on cruise. Is that too high to drive at say for 150 miles straight?
Please skip the get a new tranny talk I'm working on it but I don't have $1,000 for used shipped and install. Pisses me off this would be my 3rd effing tranny. G-Damn Nissan.

Sustained 3600 rpms is not gonna break anything that wasn't going to break anyway. I live in a state with high speed limits and like to drive them, but personally I would just set it at 65 mph and forget it. It's only 150 miles. You're only losing about ten minutes.
