Blue smoke

I had a thread a while back on some cel codes and smoke. The car smokes like a forest fire when the rpms goes above 3500. It also has some blue smoke on start up but goes away on idle when it warms up. I haver driven it much but it has to be burning a lot of oil. Do you guys think it's top end or bottom end problems?

Perform a leakdown test and you'll find your source.....

Blue smoke in the engine compartment means a bad oil leak, out of the tailpipe it means bad rings or valves.

I'm guessing your rings are going bad, especially if your cars an '02.

What color is the smoke above 3500 rpm? Black smoke= fuel, blue smoke= oil, white smoke= coolant.

There's not many other fluids that could come out of the exhaust, lol

Blue smoke on start-up is typically indicative of your valve seals being old, dried out and shrunken, allowing the oil sitting on top of the engine after shut-down to leak down the valves into the combustion chamber. Annoying, yes, but cause for an engine rebuild? Nah...

Stock exhaust? Perhaps those awesome precats have destroyed your cylinder walls...

Ive been out messing with the car some today. I checked all of the plugs which i just installed about ~200 miles ago and found some strange results. The rear plugs looked brand new while the front 3 did not look so good. The tips on 2 plus where covered in gunk and oil, would score marks on the cylinders walls cause this? I have pics i can load up from my phone if anyone wants to see them
