A real 0-100mph Thread.
Okay Orgers,
mounted the cam on a custom pod and went ahead and shot this. Trying to shift with a pod in your face made me a little agitated and I mis-shifted
(hence the second part of the video) and a new mounting location. could not do from a dead stop because of traction issues and the camera bouncing everywhere, these are not the best, as in my driving performance, but they will do.
Enjoy!

have you had any problems with the transmission from using the DR mod? my I35's transmission was slightly slipping when i did that mod, but after using it a few times, it took a crap fast! btw, how much power are you puttin down to the wheels? and which dyno was it on?

Perkman, it looked like in 3rd at 5k there was a slight hover, or were you feathering at that time. It happens in both takes

clocks out about 16.1 on the second run and 16.7 in the first right?
i missed the banned run....about what was the timing on that?
i havent played with gate shifting yet...i did a run but ive just tried in d. does it really make a difference in going with gate shifting? cant get the stupid thing to hook up at all...yet...
want to start tuning. considering the afc route...

Not exactly 0-100 (when I was still almost stock)...
Wait. This IS the show & tell thread, right?

prob, but Im doubting clocking on this video will do much for real times.
Im at 100 in the quarter mile -14.2

and im tracking on the raised limiter when gate shifting, but figured without cams the powertrain or cams to capitalize it would be a moot point to do so.
due to fears of the tranny commiting self murder i usually do any runs from a roll and if its one where im concerned about the other car i go from third. realizing the higher revs may help a little i look at an auto as being able to stay pretty consistent just as long as the driver can launch consisitently. didnt really realize it would seriously drop times gate shifting.

I gate shift in order to utilize the extended rev limiter, so i see your point.
Also, the tranny fluid temp needs to be at temperature before lock-up occurs (shift to 4th).
I have some dynos and data logs from 4th gens, 5th gens, 5.5 gens and 6th gens that verify that they both exhibit the same behavior in a certain gear. I cannot remember the 6th gen, but the 4th and 5th is 3rd.

Myself, Jime and Nietzsche have proven this with data logging/capture.
See what happens@ 4.5k?
Here's RPM vs MPH
That's not an intake issue or 'tuning' issue, it's the tranny. The loop occurs because the RPM's subside by a couple or few hundred RPM, that's the reason for the reverse loop. Notice the linear speed curve, this is a 6th gen 3rd gear (5AT), but the 3rd gear in the 5th gen does the same.

At first I thought maybe it could be the throttle closing during the shift, but it all goes away, RPM and all. Hmm.

Hmm, Ceffy, that’s a good observation. Very interesting. I wonder what that could be. Mine does not do that whether or not I gate shift, and it seems to be only during the shift.

If I leave it in Drive the SAFC reads all the way to redline. I think it breaks communication with the ecu when I do the manual shift.
something I would have never noticed, as i do not stare art the safc when going wot lol.
could this be because I modulate the pedal during the shift as well? like i get off it then back on it...
