!!! Help !!! I Can't Start My Car !!!!!

Hey guys I really need some help. I wake up this morning and my steering wheel was locked. I put the key in the ignition and no go. It wouldn't even turn. I tried and tried for at least 30 min and NOTHING. I live in the boondocks so I can't really have my car towed to the dealer so any help appreciated. My friends said I should try switching through the gears and trying but that sounds like BS literallys from Honduh owners. So please help a bro out. BTW I tried 2 different keys to get the same response, NO turning....

LOL! You just locked the steering wheel{saftey feature}. While putting the key in the ignitiion turn the wheel to the left or right and you will unlock the wheel.

call for Nissan road side assistance if all fails.
the RSA will tow your car to the nearest Nissan dealership regardless of the distance.

hmmmm maybe....do fuses control that? Any idea which one? I have the tech. manual somewhere at home but my new computer is still nto up to date and my old drives are in boxes...it would probably be on the inside under the steering wheel right?

you have to shake it violently back and forth...

either that or a battery cable is loose...

in this case.. it would be a good idea to see if your dome light turns on.. or your dash lights.. if not.. then you can see what bcannon said as a factor.. if they work.. then rule that out

Just happended to me two days ago!!!!

Took about 10 minutes fo pulling to each side and trying to get the key to turn AT ALL!!!

It finally just let go and all has been the same since...what I do remember is pulling into the parking space and quickly putting it in neutral and put the parking brake on while pulling the key out pretty quickly as well...maybe the column doesn't like the lock to be 'unkeyed' that fast?!?
