Front Wheel Bearings What Brand?

I'm having my front wheel bearings replaced Saturday and I'm just wondering, what brand of bearings are good quality?

OEM, and Rockautoparts.com is a good place to fine non-OEM brands. Works pretty good.

Oh that's right I love rockauto.com unfortunately I need the parts by Saturday so maybe I'll just check with NAPA or Autozone. I found some Timken bearings on Autozones website for $46 a piece. Are Timken bearings good quality? Why are they so cheap?

The ones @ NAPA are the same as the ones bought from the Dealer....they're Timken or National bearing...for alot less!

That's the name I was looking for. Timken, that's a good brand. Pressed a few of those in for people already, and seem to be as good as oem. Check the coupon codes at Autozone as well, and buy online and pickup in store for a better deal.

$10 coupon for Autozone. Should get you enough for a good 6 pack of beer for the job.

Timken is a good name brand.

How many miles on the car?
What makes you think you need wheel bearings?

I only ask because I replaced a set of rear bearing in my last car because of noise.

Still had the noise after the change.

Switched to Michelin tires and the noise went away. No more Falkens for me.

I pulled the p/n off the bearing race of my Oem front spindle bearing and NAPA uses the same exact one the dealerships sell except for the Nissan box around it that's all dealerships and OEM parts....The vendors make the parts not the factory, they assemble them!

104k miles, it makes a loud roar when turning left or even just lane changing, I get the shakes at highway speeds as well. I am running Toyo Proxes 4 and they are noisy but that's not the sound I'm hearing I'm pretty sure. I got the Timkens last night and will have them replaced tomorrow I'll let you know if it fixes the problem or not.
BTW What Michelins did you go with? My dad swears by Michelin. He used to drive across the country In a big van (traveling salesman) and he says he always had blowouts with every brand except Michelin. I think tires have gotten a lot better since the 80's tho lol but I'm thinking my next set probably will be Michelin. These Toyos have good wet traction but other than that they are loud, tread life sucks, and they are just as expensive if not more than Michelins.

Really? I took my spindles to a machine shop for the pressing.

Michelin MXV4's

The rears are an easy swap, the front's require a press. At least if the suspension is set up like my 2003 Altima was.
