Angel Eyes 2000 maxima?
I was looking at getting the Angel Eyes headlights for my 2000 Maxima from umnitza.com but when I go there the site indicated they are only available for the 02-03 years. Does anyone have a recommendation where to get Angel Eye headlights that will fit the 2000 model and are high quality? Are they any other modifications needed besides purchasing and replacing the stockers?
Thanks

theres no angel eyes because there is nothing circular for them to go around. hence "eyes". you could get 5.5 headlights and do the angel eyes yourself, or buy some from a member on here with them already installed. or you could get the ebay brand, but they arent very bright, they look like crap to be honest.

Okay the site was Dashz.com or something to that effect. Type in dash z in google search and you should find the exact address. They are Halo lights, which I think are the same if I am not mistaken. Either way, they will defiantly look good. I'm going to order them myself after Christmas.

you want cheap angel eyes: search "maxima 2000 projector headlights" on ebay
I bought a set in 2006 and spent about 12-15 hours custom modifying them with CCFL angel eyes and wiring the whole damn thing up.
The 02-03 OEM maxima housings are better as far as initial light output goes (vs. the ebay projectors) but you will still have to bake the lights in the oven and install an Umnitza or other CCFL style angel eye (not to mention wire the whole thing up).
If you want to do it right...buy ebay projectors, open them up..drop in E55 or TSX projectors (increasing your light output) and at the same time drop in CCFL angel eyes from www.retro-solutions.com. It takes patience, time, and money but in the end it will be worth it. If you want more info just PM me.

The problem is I wont have the time to do it right, from the stated 12-15 hours of custom installing. I am looking for a solution that will allow me to:
A) Buy new headlight assemblies with Angel Eye Styling and capable of taking an HID bulb.
B) Remove old headlights
C) Install new Assemblies and HID, minimal rewiring to specific lights if necessary. adjust height of bulbs and done.
I see alot of gorgeous Maximas on here and I love em all BUT my car already has 133,000 mils on the OD and im trying to make myself happy driving it until I get to 200000. I already did the Clutch, Struts, Strut sway bars and general maintenance. My paint is in good shape aswell and I just want to freshen the cloudy eyes on my stockers and I love the Angel eye look.
Ideally I would love to find an 03 with less than 45k for the right price with a 6spd and leather that I could hook up. This is my daily driver and I am getting a G35-G37 hopefully by February as my second car. I really want something that I have a warranty on so I dont get as many unexpected costs popping up. Job and Future gas prices will be my deciding factor.
Thanks

Somewhat same boat as OP: I have to temporarily go back to ebay angels (non-projector) b/c my retro proj setup is consistently having issues on the pass. side as of late...
*Sucks*
OP keep us posted on what you come up w/

Wait do the 2002/2003 Lights fit the 2000/2001? I didn't know that...
Searched... yes they apparently do (obviously you all already know this) but I'm going to leave the post for future 5th gen newbie searches
