Heated seat question
ok...so this is the first car i have owned with heated seats. and to be honest...i used to laugh at people with heated seats. now.... owning a car with heated seats AND heated steering wheel, i must admit i was wrong...but i do have an issue. here in connecticut in the last week...its been real bitter, and i go out 10-15 early to start my car and get it warm. i turn the switch for the heated seats and steering wheel. when i get in the car the steering wheel is getting warm, but the seats are ice ciold. after 5 minutes on the road, the seats start to get warm. now , i wouldn't have noticed , but one day i didn't start the car early and it seemed the seats took the same amount of time to get warm as when i started it early. is there a pressure swicth so it won't turn on unless there is a butt in the seat...or am i crazy?

On mine, it seems that if you have the seats set to the High position, they have some sort of auto shut-off after about 10 minutes. If you set them to the Low position, they will stay in that mode indefinitely.
Never had heated seats before either, never thought I would need them in San Diego, but I use them instead of turning on the heater. Pretty nice on a cold (brr, 38°) morning.

Mine will stay on high for at least 20 minutes. After that it gets too hot and I switch to low. The steering wheel cycles suck. Idk what idiot at nissan screwed that up, but it pisses me off when the wheel stays at room temp after it was hot a toasty for 15 mins.

well firstly we have to determine where the switch is ...if there is 1 ....and what kinda switch it actually it's .and we have to figure out if jumping the switch leave it on all the time and doesn't let it cycle . Correct?

true. id put a multimeter on some of the wires coming out of the unit and have a friend apply pressure to the seat and see when it closes the circuit
