Need Help Finding Part Number

Howdy,

I've spent a long time online, trying to find a part number for my 2002 Manual Transmission SE.

The part is the plastic trim that holds down the shift boot. Once again, this is for a manual transmission.

The ID on the bottom of my broken part is "B367-5562-100".

NOTE: I used the online parts at Courtesy Nissan to try to find it.
If anyone knows of a better parts catalog, let me know, okay?
There's a great one online for my Z32, so maybe I'm spoiled. :-)

Thanks, and have a Happy New Year!

Jim

I picked this link up from one of the member's here, but am not able to give credit because I don't remember who it was. Great catalog. Bookmark it right away so you don't forget it and have to search for it all over again (personal experience). It looks like it's going to depend on model month/year and color. Good luck!

Part Info

Open the Courtesy Nissan Parts link here:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/maxima-...2118_2122.html

It looks like you would order the entire shift boot assembly based on the pictures.

OP already knows the Courtesy link. He's looking for, and found, a better catalog. The problem with Courtesy is they don't use actual part #s. They only use the prefix which doesn't help much.

Not sure what the OP is searching for, IMO

True. I was assuming the OP simply couldn't find the part, something that happens to the best of us from time to time.

I don't understand why people don't simply pick up the phone and call the local Nissan dealership and talk to the parts desk. And if there is no local dealership they can always call the Courtesy Parts toll free number and get the part number from them. I've used Courtesy Parts for years and they've always been great at answering questions.

Thanks Guys...

Thanks for the Courtesy Nissan link. That's the page I was using, unfortunately it does not show the individual piece I was looking for.

As to simply calling up the parts department; they are working when I am working.

So no one knows of an 'official' Nissan 2002 Maxima parts catalog I guess.

Right?

How much more do you need? Did you not find the linked catalog I posted sufficient? Sometimes the manufacturer doesn't sell certain pieces individually. The assemblies are produced by an outside vendor as once part #.

Nelledge,
To answer your questions in order (but first let me thank you for taking the time),
1. I *was* hoping for more, since I already had the Courtesy Nissan link, I was hoping for the part number that the linked page does not show,
2. To be honest, it was not sufficient. But that's not your fault. Once again, thanks.
3. I'm sure you are right; this "Two Dollar Piece of Plastic" can only be bought with the rest of the complete assembly, for a lot more $$.
Junk Yard, here I come!

Call a parts department for a Nissan Dealership in another time zone. We have four here in the United States. Six, if you call Alaska or Hawaii.

While I know that sounds smart-azz, think about it for a minute. It will take all of 3 seconds to Google a dealership in a different time zone, and each will ship things to your door.

You're welcome. FYI... my link isn't to Courtesy Nissan. Junkyard is probably the way to go. LMK if you find a black center console armrest.

This might be a more complete parts reference

I believe this is a complete factory parts listing. But I'd go the junkyard route
http://nissan4u.com/parts/maxima/
edit:Sorry Jim, I looked through and didn't find anything relevant, perhaps you'll be more successful.
