6000k is just too blue for a daily driver. cant see crap at night, hurts peoples eyes on the road, and it looks "aftermarket" cheap.
4300k (4500k from ddmtuning) goes very well with the 3000k, excellent vision at night, and it looks original, which gives a better appeal to the car. just sayin!

How is that rice? Unless you're rocking 10,000k or 12,000k's, I don't see how putting a 3000k HID kit in the fogs is ricey. It's the same deal as installing yellow capsules which a lot of the 5th gen OG's started doing years back.
I could understand if you're talking about the 8000k's because you're sacrificing output for looks but I'm not seeing the rice here.

Yea i understand that but look at the pictures and you see the passenge side as a ball of yellow compared to the drivers side

i would've gone with 5000K in the headlights but that's just me....fogs look good, makes me wanna get HIDs in my fogs also
Yea I still might get 5000K
If you're doing a full HID setup in front 5000k on top 3000k on the fogs is the way to go.
5000K is perfect IMHO but 8000K on top of 3000K looks like total rice at night
Posts fixed.

I went with 4500k from ddm tuning, and its still too blue. I will eventually try to find something between 4000-4300k, but I'd have to be lucky to find a place selling anything other than 3000, 4300/4500, 5000 etc...
OP: I looked at the pics again. The passenger side needs to be aimed upward. or maybe, depending on your preference, your drivers side needs to be aimed downward. Do you know how to aim them while the assemblies are still mounted into the bumper?
A little off-topic, but not so much: Another maxima friend came over today and I worked on his fog lights. they were both cracked, and one had cracked enough to let water in.
He bought new bulbs, I dried the housing, and sealed all cracks with a 60-second epoxy. It hardens and doesnt budge, doesnt melt, but does turn yellow-ish over time (with hot hot hot HID's on mine) but we will see how well it works with the heat of regular halogen bulbs.

when you were installing the fogs, did you happen to see a white plastic round piece that a 10mm socket could fit around? there's a hole in the bumper to reach that when the fog light is installed. fit a 10mm deep socket in there, have your car aimed at a wall or garage door (with car on a level surface) and aim them appropriately.
I dont know the specification offhand on how far up they should be compared to how far away your car is from the wall, but adjust a bit, and drive the car down the road. if you flip the fogs off and on, and the fogs shine bright on street signs, its too high.
also, did you know you can reach the fogs by unbolting the two 10mm bolts on top the headlights, unplugging the high beam, and two plugs on the end, and pulling the headlight out? its kind of hard becuase there are several ways the headlight locks into place, but its much easier than getting on the ground and fiddling with it through the plastic panels.
my bumper must have been an OEM replacement bumper, becuase I had to drill that adjustment hole out... I suggest doing that. if you look at it compared to the back of the fog light, you will understand exactly where it is.
Apologies for the novel!

I did have to modify. your foglight is a bulb with a wire. your HID fog light bulb is a light with a socket at the end of it, so you have to drill through the dust cap to fit the end through. then you have to seal it with caulk so moisture doesnt get in.
With a car that originally comes with HID's, I like to keep the look of stock. It gives a more rich appearance to a vehicle, and keeps it from looking too ricey or modified. BLUE headlights are distasteful and unattractive. Plus, they **** alot of drivers off.
