How to replace the HID bulbs?

First of all I have an 03 Max SE auto if that makes a diff. Antway, Ive searched all over and havent found anything that says how to replace the bulb or whatever its called. Anyway when I took the headlight housing out and twist the cover off the HID unit, all I see is a couple of phillips screws and then some metal clips on top and bottom and then the bulb in the center.

Does the bulp pull right out or twist out or do I have to take the screws out first or what? I have a haymans manual but its crap and says to take your car to the dealership for HID lighting help.

This may be a simple thing to do but I dont want to break or damage anything if I can avoid it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

After you take the headlights out simply unclip the bulbs, remove the connector going to them and they just slide out.

there's like a tension bracket in there too, at least in the fog lights. I dont think you have to unscrew any screws. jsut unscrew the back of the housing and pinch the tension bracket (which is the thickness of a paper clip)

Yeah the same was easy to get out a little tricky to put back in with the clips sometimes felt lose but got it just be patient and you should have no problem...
