Car wasting to much gas.?

I have a 02 with 204,000 miles. When it had about 180,000 it didn't waste as much gas. But now it wastes alot, what could be the problem(s)?

Wastes gas? What the hell does that even mean? Is the exhaust spewing fuel and igniting flames behind the car for fun?

Seriously, what do you mean? Details.

You might want to clarify your issues. Gas Mileage? I assume is what you mean by wasting. What are your average numbers for economy, any trouble codes, etc?

Divide miles driven by fuel consumed and give us that number.

Car is getting about 15 mpg. Could this be symptoms of a MAf sensor failure? or ?

Could be symptoms of cars getting worse mileage in the winter due to all the cold starts, time spent warming the engine up and the lower efficiency of winter gas.

At 204k, you are ready for another spark plug change and if you have all the original cats on the car, there is a good chance they are at least partially clogged.
