Smoke @ WOT

So driving on my way home, I made a left turn at a light and I was behind some turd doing about 15-20mph, so I decided to go aorund ( I really had to use the bathroom by the way) so I moved over a lane and floored it and when I looked in my rear view mirror I saw a cloud of smoke !!! So I said to myself that couldnt be me. So when I got to the next red light and once it turned green I floored it agin, but this time from a full stop and same thing, looked in my mirror and there was a cloud of smoke.

I just recently had a fresh oil change done about 700 miles ago so i know its still fresh,
anyone have any idea why this happened or what it might be?

Thks in adavance.

i really hated it bc it made my car look like a rust bucket with allot of smoke coming out the tail pipe and this only happens when I floor it at WOT reaching abt 6500-7000rpms

How many miles your car have? I'm asking because your getting bad mpg and smoke sounds like some really clogged up precats to me. Does it smell like firecrackers after you floor it?

Did you smoke the tires? But seriously, it's possible they over filled your engine with oil.

if you live where its cold, it was probably just water, have someone give it a few revs and see what you cant smell in the exhaust.

probably water tho to be honest with you

mine does the same thing. If i floor it or really get in it and the car has a good load on it such as going uphill it will do it. Pretty sure mine is fuel. My precats are all gutted and have a test pipe in place of the main cat.
Like some other said if it is whitish it is coolant getting into the cylinders and if it is blue is burning oil. That could be anything from getting into the manifold from a bad pcv or in the cylinders from worn rings.
If its black its unburnt fuel as its running rich. As far as i know once it goes into open loop it gives the engine more gas making it running richer than daily driving. If it is black or grey smoke and your running rich and i wouldnt really worry. A friend was behind me and said mine was gray and smelled of fuel.

For some reason the vq35 eats oil from all the 5th gen threads i read as does mine. If it is eating oil honestly the only fix is either new rings or a better oil catch can design which i dont see happening soon. Just gotta live with it .
