It has a LARGER square valence and the bottom curves around the foglights instead of being squarish like ours.
Plus, why in the HELL would a 2K-2K1 want to swap the 2K2 grill/bumper? Damn that thing is FUGLY!
Rims are different also, at least on the SE.

oh please, your grille is fuglier. and kev they do all come with sideskirts. and i'm sure you'd take that grille for the engine that sits behind it.

Explain why someone would spend $750US to switch out perfectly good headlights? Are the factory lights on the 2k/2k1 that bad? There are loads of guys on this forum that have done that. Same with the tails. Little stuff like an emblem or grille doesn't sound like something these guys would mind paying for. All I was saying is that it COULD be done. Without rowing the 6spd stick myself I think I'd have a hard time knowing what year it was. IF (and that's a BIG 'IF') the person were crazy enough to change everything over to make it look like one.
Think about it this way, someone spends $1500-$2000 to get a supercharger and update his 2k to xxx hp. Someone else decides to spend the same to update the LOOK of his 2k and all of a sudden it looks like it should have 255 hp and be worth thousands more because of the year. Don't hold me to numbers on this, I don't know what a blower costs or what the gains are on a Japanese car - remember, I've been strictly domestic until 2 months ago.
As I said in my first post, I don't doubt that you ran a 2k2. I was just pointing out something that made me think. Remember there's always going to be a faster car somewhere. My '94 Z28 cost me less than my 2k2 Max and that was with all the mods to take it to 380hp.
My 2 cents.

I guess I just never really looked at the 2k/2k1 cars. I've never been interested in Maxes until I sold my Lincoln and realized that Ford, GM, Chrysler don't offer a damn thing worth driving. That compounded with the fact that the Germans have lost their mind when they started pricing their cars led me to look at the 2k2 Max.
