03 Max Suspension question??

Hello fellow ORG members.. I've got my 03 Maxima that i've been thinking about dropping it with Tein springs and kyb 4 gr-2 struts..

Does anyone have any info on these sturts or any other?? Or maybe any other Suspension Set up that worked and looked good??

Get Illumina's, they're much better than GR2's.

Gr2 shocks I would not recomend pairing up with Tein S-tech. Save your money and get Illumina's. It will yield a better ride

I lowered my car on Koni yellows and tein stechs and love the ride. Its definitely stiffer than stock but my rear end slides out before i feel like I am even close to riding on two wheels. Also the yellows are adjustable so if you dont like how firm they are, just soften them up or vice versa.

coilovers all the way, adjustable to whatever height and dampening to match up with the ride style you want

I had s techs on hp blues and I was content with the ride, when you go that low iirc its 2.2"fr 1.7"back, its a big jump from stock so you would need to be careful driving around depending on road conditions

I agree that Illuminas would be best for the LOW drop that S-Techs give.

However GR-2's are perfectly fine for other milder drops, like H&R or Eibach.

Beg to differ. From strictly a PRICE perspective. I'd take spring/struts over entry level coilovers, which I feel are very low quality. Ksports, D2's, etc - I'm not a fan, not worth the price.

The cheapest I'd go are Megans/BC's, which are in the $900 range, whereas spring/struts with replacement parts are in the $600 range. Labor is the same regardless of which you go with.

But then again, the OP is thinking about going with S-Techs, which to me are not a good decision either, so I digress.

THIS is +8, yes you can get low end C/Os for around & just under $900
and illuminas and springs should be around $600-650

cheap c/os = regret you didn't drop a little more $$ for the best Tein SS c/os

do some research yo, suspension is a very common topic in the 5th gens section

I 2nd that. Except paying the same labour for CO install and spring/strut install, that's a rip off. CO's are less work.

BC's have a decent rep so far if you want entry level CO's (I wouldn't even consider D2's or Ksports, or any other 'cheap' CO.)

Search there are many many threads and lots of spring/strut info in the FAQs.
