AS much as I drive my car daily, and on many long trips, I have yet to hear any rattles. The interior is tight on mine. Where are the ratttles coming from?

Heh

I've done that too.... Posted a reply as new..as least you had the sense to clarify it with a follow up post unlike myself ...doh!

The squeaks and rattles are the common ones that seem to affect more than a few Maxima owners...mine are the Apillar cracks, the rear deck rattles..like a echo reverb and my radio will buzz a little now and then...oh the glovebox lock rattles like a banshee also.

on cold mornings the whole dash will really creak and chatter right near where the windshield meets the dash..after the car warms a bit it seems to go away...

Dealer is pretty bad a fixing rattles...guess it shuts up when he drives it...have also found that if 2 people are in the car, the rattles are not as bad...weight distribution?

Anyways...Love the Maxima, just not mine

btw, I love the Satin Blue of your max...reminds me of the blue from the 60's GTO my neighbor had...beautiful color...you got a good Max.

I cant figure...

why there are so many things that seem out of whack with your car. I feel for you man. My old 89 had quite a few quirks early on the first year, but this might be a little encouragement for you, most of them went away on their own and never came back.
Thanks for teh kudos on the car. I love black cars, and the new Merlot is wonderful, but there was something about the Satin Blue that really caught my eye, and Im very much glad I didnt choose another color. My only complaint is the Frost interior. It show dirt like a black car does after driving through a upper midwest snowstorm. And with as much as I drive, oh brother.
Anyone else try Oxy Clean? A friend at work uses it in his new Chrysler 300M and it takes all mud, and oil out very well. he too has a light greyish interior. Maybe that is an option.
