YJ is exactly right. I was expecting more, but still like the whiter beam. Perhaps with changing the fogs to SW it may be more noticeable. While behind another car, the SW's are clearly whiter and the stock fogs are much duller looking (yellowish). I'll buy the SW fogs soon, but will have the dealer install them. The posts on how to do in the 5th gen scared me off.

Truthfully, is the SW brighter than the stock? (with the same wattage of course)

Damn, this forum is ripping! Great advice everywhere you look. Well, I think I'm going to go for the PIAA H4 SW. Now I gotta get the stock FOGS and replace the H3 with PIAA H3 SW. The stock fogs at Nissan in Canada cost around $350.00! For some stupid reason, the dealer said that I might have to remove the bumper..is that true? Oh yeah, the H4 PIAA cost around $119.00 CDN..Good price?

SW is definately not brighter. if the bulb is the same wattage and has a purple tint on it, it'll look whiter but the light output will not be the same nore have an increase over stock. how they get that "55w performs like an 80w" is they moved the filliments around i forgot how either forward or backwards. this distorts the light beam and creates a more concentrated "hot spot" and they stick their meter where the "hot spot" is and then it'll read 80watts. but if u get the readings from all the other areas it'll be alot lower than what u get from the stock bulb. i say lets boycott a xenon delivery truck.. fai dalla a pair.

Damn, that sounds good to believe. It is all an illusion because the input wattage is the same.
