You'd better delete the mention of street racing before a mod sees it and bans you.

well when i bought the car the guy told me the maf was messed up adn the he was replacing it, supposably he did when i got the smoged done(i live in cali) the dude told me i had a code. turned out to be p0113, turned out the cheking light buld is missing. i tried to erase it with a scanner but did not work. they told me to install the bulb and triy to erase with gas pedal technique but havent installed the bulb. if the maf is messed can that be the culprit of the bogging?

A dirty MAF can cause a bog or a hesitation, yes. There is a thread about using CRC MAF sensor cleaner, that should help you out.

ok i think i figuered it out could it be that the traction control is kicking in when it senses the wheels spinning? now my other problem is that when i toogle the traction control control no lights on my dash turn on is there a designated buld that i can replace or is it a solder on l.e.d can this problem be linked to my check engine light not working?

Woulda' helped if you mentioned your TC was on during these shenanigans.

But if your dash lights are not working, then you might have a burned dash bulb. Does the TC light "light" up before you start the car in the "ON" position?
It's it press fit, non solder type bulb if sticking w/OEM.

So, a little background, your SES light is out too? What lights actually light up when in the ON position?

And your car does have TC, correct?

A light should blink when slip is detected, and also turn constantly on when TC is deactivated.

yes i does have traction control and i have toggled the button and managed launch the car withou bogging or anything. but i noticed that lights on the dash dint turn on. i read the manual and it said that ligths on the dash shold l turn on when the buttono is toggle but no dice. probable chance that the led's are burnt because from what ive read they dont have a designated bulb socket

Wouldn't that rule the light out if it tests properly when your key is in the "ON" position?

Pull the ABS fuse and try a hard launch, then report back.

You are supposed to be in "maxima.org the home for maxima enthusiasts" (read above) , and you come up with a timing belt idea ? it should be so smart either from you , or you're brother in law

It's definitely the timing belt, I don't know what you're talking about.
