This dealer sucks at selling a 5.5 gen

http://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/ctd/2317609738.html

It has been on craigslist since I was looking for one to replace my totaled 5.5 gen, probably on there since early February. I stopped by the dealer to look at it a couple months ago but the car wasn't even on the lot and back then, the asking price was $5900 or so. Keeps popping up every few days and the price keeps going up. Now they want $7495.

Same car here, $300 less and they claim it is a manual.

$7995 here

$6496 in this ad

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ctd/2242119514.html

$5995 here

1 day earlier it was $6995

Seriously, how do they ever expect to sell this car?

Dealers really aren't sure how to handle 5.5 gens with manuals, but I figure they would do okay at selling autotragic SEs. I mean, an automatic Maxima is just another car to them. I'd wager that that dealership doesn't quite understand how Craigslist works. You see that a lot, as you know.

For instance, I bought my 6spd from a dealer outside Columbus, Ohio. The first time I saw the car, it was listed for $9K, then they dropped the price by something like $1K a month. I picked it up for $5700 OTD right before they were going to auction it off (90 days from putting it out on the lot), but let them me on my trade-in in exchange.

The one ad where it is listed as a manual, it is obvious from the picture it has an automatic shifter. I don't think they know squat about the car.

When I bought my 6 speed car, the car was listed at a lower price since they thought it would be hard to sell a car with a manual transmission.

The car was sold at the auction in Dallas on 1/3/2011 (from carfax). The dealer who bought the car from the auction took pictures at the auction itself. The yellow sticker on the car is what gets stuck at Manheim auctions. I dont think they will be able to sell the Max if they continue posting like this. It seems to be a buy here pay here place where they will get someone who walks in!

Very nice, just inspires confidence in their knowledge of the car

Factory Navi though??? That's wicked rare. I've never even seen a picture of factory navi.

Yeah its crazy to see huh? My uncle had one on his 02 looks clean. That car was the reason I started getting into maximas, then right before he passed away he bough a 2010 Maxima, that thing was so sweet.

The extra wide brake pedal is a dead giveaway as well
