No...

...typical exhaust flows as follows:

Exhaust manifolds (headers) >> Downpipe >> Cat(s) >> Resonator/mid-pipe >> Muffler

I think that Vibrant (Black) Stealth muffler has a really good sound and pretty decent construction quality....I'm still not sold on Flowmasters.....50 series probably work better and still have some sound!!!!!

Yea, I think the drive by sounded pretty good. Not too loud, yet a hint of mean. I think this exhaust has a good shot @ being popular.
Now, does the 2 1/2" sound the same?

I think this exhaust in 2 1/2 would be perfect with my 3.0 De-K

Yes it's sounds pretty good....it has a pretty smooth sound! Headers will make it crazy loud since it's still sporting Oem exhaust manifolds and it relatively loud.....

I'm gonna have to do a 65-70 mph drive by cruisin then a WOT Cattman video now....you coasted by at first then on your first return run either you missed a gear on got up off the throttle then back on to it.....anyways the sound is pretty smooth for right now whan are the headers coming?

It sounds really good and it's a great product for our community.

Anything will sound mellow with stock manifolds though.

First run with the cruising, I realized I was going way too fast, almost 100 in a 45, so I just coasted it. Second time i got on it then waited till I got closer to the camera and then got on it again. It was a 3rd gear pull almost to redline, if it were redline id be going really fast again.

Its hard to miss a gear in a auto

Headers will come once I have a steady job!

Awesome. Try doing an in-car highway speed video to check out any possible highway drone.

I really like how it sounds. Doesn't sound really loud but slightly aggressive. Good mix.

Also interested in hearing sound w/ header and in cabin at cruising speed and idle

How is it in slow traffic sound wise? How's your throttle response compared to the previous setup? Do you feel the power difference in the midrange come-on turbo style??? I ask that cause my Cattman exhaust just turns into a beast around 3-3.5K even at 1/2 throttle....Driving it is fun but you will see you vehicle suck down a little more fuel probably directly proportionate to more fun time.......It has a different sound when compared to the Cattman 3"......

It makes almost the same sound. If I were to put the camera that close and in a garage it would be almost identical. I will remake the video and you'll see. Is that a WOT rev to 6.5k? Do you have headers btw because that makes a huge difference? If not, the loudness is on par with BRM's. An extra 8 inches of resonator isn't going to kill it enough to make a huge difference. I know that's a bold statement.

Your right, right around 3 - 3.5 it pulls very hard, its very easy to open it up in 2nd gear! My auto 1st gear want to go to 5k with less than half throttle now (tranny cant keep up). Not so much turbo or vtec style because I have the block off plate now. Throttle response up to 2.5k has gone down a little because of the block off plate but once it hits 3k it pulls very hard to redline. My dad has a stock 6th gen and it pulls a lot harder than his now. There is a bit resonance lower than 2.5k rpm when going through city driving.

Yeah, I have Headers and a High Flow Cat....and I was reving to about 4.5-5K I don't like to free rev it without a load on it....I was taught it's not good to do an engine like that...Anyhow take some more pic from the side and some 45* oblique pic closer than before.....I think it came out pretty nice.....would like to see it 5 years from now.......

Exhaust sounds great nishfish, and car looks great too. The beginning of the cruising vid reminds us how good the TE wheels look.
