Wire Aux Input Into 2000 Bose

I've searched everywhere on the org and can't find a write up on wiring an aux cable into my stock head unit. I remember there is one that tricks the cd player with a blank cd, help any one?

I searched a bit and only found those pricey adapters. If you find a pinout of the cd changer you might be able to tap the input channels.

You might be better off posting in the Audio section.

Maybe the wires from the cd changer to the headunit are labeled L/R/G. then you would cut an aux cable in half and connect the aux wires to the wires coming from cd changer (that is playing a silent CD).

I remember a thread not too long ago about this topic but cannot find it to save the life of me.

I had a tape deck aux input and the sound quality was great. now the fm transmitter is a whole different story. It sucked period.....

if you do the tape player i would suggest to buy one thats not cheap if you do it will have poor sound quality. i used a bunch of different ones over the course of a year before i upgraded the head unit to and eclipse one.

I have the tape now and it sucks. Fm transmitter is even worse. I wanted a direct wire into the stock HU so I could sen an aux cable to come up in the coin tray. I just need to know how and where to wire it

Why not a tape adapter?
I bought one from walmart for $10 and it sounded great. THe only reason i upgraded was because of a CD playing issue but that is besides the point.

hmm.. thats odd. As long as i kept the volume of the ipod a little less than 100%, i could adjust the volume on the Bose HU without distortion and it sounded close to CDQ.
To the OP, might as well give it a try. Might work, might not. If it doesn't then go ahead and return it.

Anyone know what these connectors are for? Possible a CD changer (but I don't have one so nothing plugs into that spot - the small white plug).
If I solder a cable to the LR&G here would it work?

I love the write up!! has anyone installed the harness for the bottom iPhone for charging while still able to use the CD/CD Changer button to run in the sound?? I don't care about controlling the iPhone/iPod from the head unit, I usually just set up a playlist or Pandora. or has anyone wired in a USB to the same area as above and added a 'power' line to a USB female plug next to the ash tray? This seems more logical b/c then you can run ANY USB able unit, correct?

I bought a Monster tape adapter and it works great. Every once and a while it will sound muffled/muddy with reduced volume, and all i do is move the tape unit around a bit and it picks the signal back up. I had a tape head cleaner that looks like a cassette but I can't find it anywhere, and try to find those at a store nowadays.
