That only solves one of my issues my man, and that's braking performance. Appearance is large(r) on my short list of wants.

Fair enough, there would be a big aesthetic improvement, no question.

In pure honesty, that's the bulk of why I'm doing it. I have always wanted to upgrade the brakes because of poor stock performance, but now that they look hideous too, it's time to actually commit to putting some dollars towards the whole thing.

I was chatting with Jeff92se, he said that the stock 17" rims won't likely clear the Z32 calipers due to offset/width. He said he wasn't sure though. If Knight is correct that the Z32 mounts without adapters, and I can run the stock rotor in the winter, does anyone have an idea of how much spacer I would need to run to acheive this? Anything over 20mm I am very leary about. In honesty, I'd rather not use anything at all, spacers are not cheap, and that's not an area I'm going to 'cheap out' on.

Any ideas? I am considering more and more just doing the 6th gen BBK, but I can't find anyone that makes the brackets for anything other than the Z32 in the front.

I just mounted my 6th gen bbk and my experience has been very positive. The braking feels like what it should have been from the factory. I am just about to get through my break in stage so im going to get some hard braking tests to see how it really performs.

Weight wise, there is an increase and you can feel it, but it gave me a nice solid feeling in the front end. A couple pounds here are there arent going to destory my 10 yr old 4 door sedan's "superior handling".

In the end it all depends how much you want to invest. With calipers, rotors, pads i spent about $350. And my calipers only had 15k on them so it was a worthwhile investment.

***My 00-01 i30t wheels cleared the 6thgen bbk with ease.

^Thanks for that info man. I hear conflicting things with the 6th gen BBK clearing. Either way, not a deal breaker on the 6th gen BBK, I know I can get the stock 17"s to clear, probably fairly easy.

My concern is getting a Z32 caliper to clear.

they clear 5th and 5.5 gen stock 17s...if you want to get the 6th gen BBK *calipers, caliper brackets, rotors and pads (all used) for around $200, lemme know. even though you in canada and shipping maybe a bit more, but the guy on ebay gave me a dumb good deal..i paid just under $200 shipped for mine, i didnt use the pads they gave me, i bought some ceramic pads (because i hate brake dust) and they feel awesome...of course they'd grab/grip better w/ better pads like Hawk, but i'm not upset at what i have

the Z32s mount without brackets, but you have to trim down the diamtere of the rotor or trim a bit of metal off the inside of caliper. both have been done and work.
