Car wont run in gear

Driving on a rainy day and the car won't respond in gear. Happens once and I put it in neutral, rev, then back in gear and it works. About 2 miles later this happens again, EXEPT this time my radio turns off for a while and then back on. When the radio turns back on the car catches in gear again.

After losing this electricity a 4 or 5 times the car finally quits. There is no response in gear, but I can rev in neutral. My ABS light just turned on then off and now its on again. So did the Air Bag Light.

Also noticed that in gear the idle is about 200rpms high even when the clutch is down... YA ITS A 6SP. I assume that makes a difference.

I added a couple fuel additives about a month ago if that helps. (they actually added about 70 miles a tank)

Car is about to be towed...Any advice would be great

Any guesses would be great so i can get an idea on how much it could cost. At first i thought fuel delivery issue obviously but the more i think it i lean towards wires or sensors being off. What wire or sensor wouldnt work when in gear only and could shut power off and set off ABS? Or several wires at once in the rain? This is weird

2002 6sp. 105k. Recent work on the car is a megan catback and a berk intake. Shell premium gas almost always. I used two fuel additivez recently. They actually increased my gas mileage a lot.

Is your battery cable tightened all the way? Just a stupid suggestion since you had to unhook it to attach your intake. Or well you should have. Maybe it was on finger tight and then all of a sudden decided to let go a little just enough to screw with your head :P

Thats all I can think of...

I didn't take it off to do the intake. I wonder how a loose battery cable would let the car rev in neutral but not in gear. Plus the ABS light. Thanks for the input.

Only real thing I can think of is that a bunch of sensors/wires/relays or something went bad all at once.

Water get in your fuse box? Have a look and see if it's wet in there

Quick update. Mechanic said i needed a new alternator and should just do the serpentine belt while he is there. $400

I had him check another noise i had while turning. Said it was a dust shield but he also noticed the bearing is growling a little. Should i replace just tue bearing or the whole assembly? Just one side or both fronts?
