Rattling Driving me Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Ok i been dealing with this rattling noise underneath ma car more soo from the rear right to middle side for about a yr. This occurs when I drive over bumpy graveled pitted roads. Smooth surfaces are ok....Reasearched on here and everyone got a different type of rattling on different occassions.. I went to auto repair shops put it on the lift and there nothing that seems out of place..Some strange reason when I changed my rear brakes and rotors it stopped for about a month. Then the rattling came bacc and it was annoying. So as time went by i found out ma struts/shocks were bad. So i researched and found out they also rattle when they are bad.. Got that changed yesterday and the rattling still exists.. Can you guys chip in and give me some clues. The sound is like metal pipes rattling in a bag.. Can it be the exhaust messing up? But that seemed fine to me

could it be loose gravel hitting the underside of your car?

I drove on a gravel road for the first time in my max and the noise was much louder than I expected... just a thought to consider.

Good thought never really looked into it since everything under there was sturdy and in place... Any other possible insights?

Check the clearance of your exhaust it could be banging slightly on the cross-member.

Check the ebrake cable mount to the frame. It may be missing a bolt/nut. Happened to me. Rear passenger area. Zipped tied it and the noise went away.

I would think it's the exhaust system isolators!

where the exhaust goes thru the rear subframe its clanging there near the RR wheel, mine did that after i put a new exhaust on, had to bend one of the pins on the pipe to hold it over far enough so it wont clank

Same here, literally drove me nuts all winter until I finally put the cattman on (w/ clamps on the rubber hangers to minimize movement)

Will check that out. I do need to install a ebrake cable on the left side
