Well its My turn (Engine Problem)

the 03 has been sitting now for 2 weeks due to me having welders eye(97 max lower support repair) and today was dreary out so i put on my perscription #10 goggles on and went and started up the car.The car started up fine as usual but after about 10 minutes idling it started to sputter and shake like it has a miss so i cut it off and restarted it.same exact thing idle for about 10 minutes then the sputter and shake starts i have no codes and i swapped out the maf before starting it the 3rd time.right now im kind of limited to how much time i can spend in the light so im hoping for some solid suggestions for when i can start eliminating the problem(s).

First off, take care of your eyes. They're the only set you get. Then I think you need to take the car out for a drive instead of idling it for so long, (not really that good for it), and then see,(pardon the terminology), what happens.

^^ agree! The ECU needs to re-learn/reset all the sensors after a MAF install. Have a buddy drive it around for a good 15-20 mins while you have your goggles on or are blindfolded...if you are blindfolded you will become more 'one' with the car and actually diagnose it better

Wow man, your eyes must have gotten scorched for them to still be limited Sorry for ya, bro!

^^ So you thought usually when you replace your MAF it's b/c it throws a code. And you NEVER disconnect/R&R a MAF with the battery still connected... So you disconnect the battery to install the new MAF, then reconnect the battery after the complete install. The 10 mins that it took to reinstall the intake has caused the ECU to loose memory on certain sensors, As I understand it that is why the CEL and code are cleared along with several other sensor memory points. Upon restart the idle MAY act a tad funny for a second or three, then restart the memory/learning on those said sensors. If the code has not cleared via battery disconnection, you simply 'clear' the code by forcing the ECU to loose that memory with a scanner.

hens the term re-Learn

That means that the ecu is still using the perameters of the old setup b4 the new maf. It needs some drive time or to be reset in order to learn the new part. (As I understand it).
