Reasonable Price
So my starter took a shi* last night. My girl took my car to work and as she was leaving the car didnt start. The lights, horns and audio system works so i know its not the battery. Went over to her job with a bat and beat the s*** out of the starter and, MAGIC, the car started.
Was able to find a new starter for $110 with lifetime warranty
My mechanic wants to charge me $60 to replace
Do you guys think $60 is a good price to replace the starter?? I did see its only two bolts that have to be removed and a plug, then mount the new one back up
Thanks in advance

Funny thing, I just replaced my starter last friday night. I paid $129.99 with exchange for the old one, plus lifetime warranty (got it from a local advanced auto). I did it myself, ran into a few problems though. Damn thing was torqued down onto the block so hard it split my 17mm socket straight down the middle on two opposite sides So at that point I was done for the night cuz I didnt have another 17mm and every store was already closed. Then I called up my buddy, he came over few hours later when he got off work with some penetrating oil, another 17mm, and a breaker bar and we got it out pronto. Like Previously said, its fairly easy. Without my mishap it wouldnt have taken long at all. Disconnect - battery terminal (I always just do both to be safe), remove your stock air box or intake setup, disconnect the + and the another clip from the starter, undo the 14mm and 17mm bolts (I believe those are correct sizes), remove starter, replace, and reassemble. I have a write up if you want it.
