Hotshot Headers! Help

http://www.flickr.com/photos/48431622@N02/5909858990/http://www.flickr.com/photos/48431622@N02/5909858990/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/48431622@N02/, on Flickr

Question 1;
Will they fit my maxima? Take in mind they come like that no y pipe but the seller says theyll fit 00-03.
Question 2
Are they worth 300 dollars?
Because there's no y pipe will they still have the same performance amount and sound or will it be altered?
Thanks for looking ahead of time

Where did you get them from. They should fit, however not sure if they bolt up to the stock ypipe or not...

Of course they'll fit but you'll need to get a custom y-pipe fabbed for them to function. Not worth 300$ IMO.

Definitely not worth $300 without a y-pipe...for $80 more you can get a brand new set of OBX headers/y-pipe shipped to your doorstep. Just my $0.02

He can also get these headers and have a y-pipe made. The total could easily be less than a set of OBXs.

They might be,I haven't dealt with either one ... but without the y-pipe they're not going to fit better than the OBX's.

I had hotshots , i loved them . 20 k no issues at all.

But without a y-pipe they arent worth anything IMO.

This is a pic of mine before install, if you look at the Y-pipe youll see why some ma-pop exhaust shop wouldnt be able to mirror it.

= length y pipe or bust. Grab a set of OBX 3.5s and call it a day.

I'd would say $125 take it or leave it! But definitely not $300! Talk him down and have a custom fabbed ypipe constructed! You'll be better off buying an OBX headers ($350) or Custom Maxima headers ($175).....

CM headers are just eGay headers resold as CM. eGay would be cheaper

I wouldn't even bother with shorty headers.

This.

Or an unequal y pipe for that matter if youre looking to spend that much anyways.....OBX 3.5 FTW!

Yeah I brought that up since the $300 figure seemed a big part of the topic and it too would probably need a little work as well but work better than the stock manifolds w/the Precats

Well the Custom Maxima/Ebay are extra shorty headers cause the Cattman, OBX and Hotshot are shorty headers when compared to real long tube headers found on most longitudal mounted RWD vehicles.... I still would buy the Hotshot headers, have them bead blasted and a ypipe fabbed and both then ceramic coated,.... it would be simply, durable, and beatifully functional power adder for his setup!

Consider em medium length.

Out of all those, the altima headers that schmellyfart has are longer than ANY of those listed above.

well, you are right about the 2nd part, their old se-r headers were prone to cracking. as for the 1st part, dont know where you got your info from but you couldnt be more wrong. they went under becuase ss autocrime stole their header designs and sold the parts for 1/3 less..

i love my HS

I wouldn't mind owning an A31 if they were sold here.. A31 is RWD Cefiro. Third gen Maxima chassis code is J30.

Pics of Aaron's header setup
